In this chess game I set this really elegant trap. Pushed this pawn and cleared a path for a brutal lancing checkmate, thinking that the advancing pawn might just distract the opponent enough...and it did. But when I got back for my move his response distracted me and all I thought was "man, pushing that pawn was kinda dumb." So the checkmate was missed. He made ANOTHER move and I was bumming out over how badly this game was sliding downhill and pushed another pawn to stabilize the situation. As I was looking at another board I thought "hey, where's that game where I had the really cool trap set?" Went looking for it and found that the trap had worked, but I missed springing the checkmate TWICE and have now pushed a pawn into my own way.
