One thing about doing dialysis is how young I am compared to everyone else. Most people doing dialysis are at least 60 and well past their 70's. There has to be a reason why I am getting kidney disease, even though those who aren't diabetic they don't know what the cause for it is. I beleive it has something to with the digestive system.

EDIT: WTF has happened in the meantime? I mean the last time it was "just" some digestive tract parasite, right?

As said: Make holiday somewhere where at least the first can be fixed with money :p.

Rant #1: Turned the computer off...or at least tried it, before I went to bed. Was installing updates. Now, roughly 11 hours later it's still installing updates...still #1 of 2. The hell. Had the nearly same already from Sunday til Monday, was still running after 6 hours, and had to leave then, so no idea how long it actually took. But at least it has not crashed. Not fond of wasting the weekend on reinstalling windows.

Rant #2: A friend asked me once if I could bake with her. I remembered that recently, and asked her. Last email was on Tuesday, if today at noon is okay. Got TODAY a half hour before an email that this would be inconvenient, and if we could not do it around 4.
THAT TOOK YOU 5 DAYS? Come on. Why not just answer questions not in the very last minute? Why not just answer an email when you get one? WHY???
I HATE people who don't answer their emails, I hate them .

It takes mine about 15 minutes to do that, The_J. And when I turn it on again, the actualisation auto-uninstalls because it can't be configured properly, and it takes a few more minutes than usual again. So what I do is Close Session and turn it off without installing actualisations.

I am actually talking about WinXP (so probably also not the same issue like JoanK describes).
It's just so that I recently made some updates and turned the Win auto-updates, so this computer is installing everything from the last...errr...probably 3 years or so in a sequence (day by day).

Oh well. There are worse problems. Still annoying though.

wow ... imagine downloading/installing pre-service pack 3 and 2 updates .... :shudders: I can feel Your pain ... ;) I have once installed a pristine copy of OEM Win XP on a guy's computer - turned out to be one of the first OEM release, so I had to install every single service pack ... it was a pain . I have advised him that if he had to reinstall the system again, he should consider buying a new one ...

You should ride a tracked vehicle. As long as no spear-armed natives are around, you should be fine.
Archery, perhaps? Very civ, very nerdy, and it will get PE some much needed fresh air.
    Stop tempting me, you incubus!
But you're not you anymore. In fact, i'll be logging on as VRWCAgent on #fiftychat from now on.

No no no, whoever invented customer-assembled furniture needs to be put down like Old Yeller. Especially when the instructions come in rather sterrar engrish with hard-to-interpret drawings.

XP is awful, you could also avoid updates by running any other obsolete software.

I have it too! It's just a sudden cough, but it's making me feel all tired and woozy.
