The right thing would have been to ask her to exchange numbers, but for some reason I didn't feel confident enough to push for it and went for a weak option. (in my opinion)
Which I'm kind of bummed out because I don't have a direct line to her and I really felt we were hitting it off. Then again I'm horrible at reading signals, so she might have just been polite. *shrugs*

Not sure if this is a rant or rave:

I bought the CD "singing for dummies" at guitar center and while I can tell it was actually well spent money, I can tell I have a hell of a lot to learn. Never thought singing was this frustrating and it's going to take me a very long time to get good.

I hate Vanderbilt and their mock trial program so goddamn much. I can't wait for them to crash and burn at Nationals. They'd better. I swear, they'd better.

What I imagined my spring vacation like: playing New Vegas 'till I turn blue.
Instead, it seems I'll be doing reports and presentations 'till I die.

New Vegas will devour your life if you're not careful.

    ...I was not careful.

The fact I barely slept due to New Vegas shows that it's a bit too late.

Neither was I careful. Now, it's so hilariously modded it barely resembles the original game.

It's a Bethesda game. (Yes, yes, I know it was made by Obsidian). Of course it's going to be modded to hell and back. :)

Were you at ORCS over the weekend?? What region? Some of my friends went to ORCS representing my school. They didn't do as well as they wanted.

This will seem harsh but quit fooling yourself into thinking you are in love. Instead you ar infatuated with a person, but you are not in love.

I had been feeling weird flutters in my chest, no idea if it's something with my heart, lungs, or chest cavity. I went to the doctor and am putting in preventative measures (less caffeine, less other things, more exercise.. less stress) and am going to be wearing a heart monitor for 2 days.

The doctor looked concerned, but she said this isn't so unusual. So we'll see. I got my blood taken as well, plus they hooked me up to a weird heart machine. We'll see what they say when the results come back. It's probably nothing, but I'm not taking any chances.

The main thing is I think stress. I am trying not to worry about anything.. it's not easy, in such a stress high job that I have.. I'm dealing with it well by just pushing my worries away. "I don't care if she's concerned".. etc. Gotta be a bit of a jerk, but my health is more important.

Is it something like heart palpitations or stabbing chest pains?

No pains, just.. well, i can't really describe it. The doctor used the word "flutter", which seems to be the most appropriate. I can't tell if it's the heart or just a muscle in the chest cavity or what. A couple years ago (10?) I went to the doctor with chest pains, and the diagnosis was that I have bad posture and the muscles in my chest cavity were complaining. This time around there is no pain, so it could be something else..

I've been having something similar lately, chest pains in the morning (but that can be explained to my messed up ribs) and heart palpitations when I feel put on the spot sometimes, moments of acute stress. I usually have to walk away or excuse myself and have a sit alone to get it to stop.

Cardiac flutter is drastically unpleasant. Some is not abnormal. Persistent is generally a sign of something, can be a lot of things. Extreme flutter can progress into a fatal cardiac rhythm. It's a pain, but you did the right thing by seeing the doc. The cardiac halter seems like a relatively normal thing for them to put you on to see if they can capture any new incidences of flutter. Hope it goes o.k. warpus! I know it's not a hell of a lot of fun, we live with a lot of flutter in my household.

Hmm well I hope it's nothing :/.. We'll see. If it's something with my heart or lungs I might not be able to hike to Mt. Everest basecamp next year, and that would suck. But most importantly, there would be something wrong with a major organ..

For now I'll assume it's nothing :) but try to keep better care of myself.
