I've lost so much weight over the last three years that I went from "too embarrassed to be seen shirtless" to "slightly above underweight". I did this entirely through eating less food. It's possible dog walking helped, but I keep losing weight even when my dog's at my parents' for a few weeks. By now I may have to eat a bit more since I tried to replace my wardrobe of size Small shirts only to find the stores here don't even have XS.

But overall weight loss has gone so well that I'm proud of the result. Some friends and family have expressed concern, but it's not like I go hungry or skip meals, and I think it's because moderately thin people are rare here these days.

I eat a moderate breakfast and more than a sandwich lunch and then have toast or fruit for dinner. And maybe some ice cream.

I just managed to write 500 words in one sitting. And this time the caps lock key wasn't on.

Not that this is a rave, just about cats and computers.

Maddy has been unhappy about what's been going on during the last couple of months. There's stuff everywhere, her bed disappeared under a pile of books and packing boxes, strange people keep traipsing in and out, my housekeeping helper and I have been snapping at each other lately (usually over her careless attitude toward putting breakable stuff into boxes of miscellaneous things without wrapping them; she couldn't care less if stuff gets broken, chipped, or whatever), and if I leave the room Maddy will jump up on the computer and when I return I usually find that she's put the computer into airplane mode.

If any of my posts end up looking like alphabet soup, it means that she not only typed that, but somehow managed to get the cursor over "Post Reply" and put it through.

Anyway, for a rave... I guess it's a rave that most of the forest fire smoke has moved on.

    I managed to write 810 words over 24 hours. I think that's a record.

I wrote two sentences. Word count: 26. If this was a day in November, I'd be in big trouble.

My wife gave me my first haircut since December. Looks pretty decent and is much shorter now back to something near my normal length. She was nervous about doing it because she has essential tremor and her hands can get pretty shaky. Both sides are close to the same length even!! :)

Please PM me some. I'd love to try that! :yumyum:

Anything can get forgotten if it ends up in the back of the freezer or underneath something in the deepfreeze.

I'm a little scared to think how old some of the stuff might be in my freezer. I think there's a package of frozen perogies back there.

A few years ago, I found a bottle of mustard in the back of the fridge and the best-before date was before my birth.

I felt a bit like a bomb squad when trying to discard of it...
