I made the 1000th reply, so according to our venerable tradition blah blah blah.
    You better start raving, buddy!

It's OK, I don't make new series threads anymore since my thread titles got so many bad reviews.

In three weeks I will return to my home in Germany in Aachen after I will have worked for all in all six months in Belgium. I will then say goodbye to my family and friends and will start packing my suitcases. At the mid of July this year I'll be leaving finally Europe to literally start a new life in Toronto.
I would never have imagined that this whole process would be at the end so incredibly accelerated, because all the time I always anticipated this move as far as by the end of the year. But the ladies and gentlemen at the Canadian embassy in Berlin exceeded even my wildest hopes with their velocity of dealing with my request for a permanent residentship, so therefore I'll be going much sooner to Canada to work in a German bakery. I've already had some talks with my future landlord over the phone and my new appartment will be ready to move in as soon as I'll be arriving.

Hint: It is located in Mississauga.

    Good to hear. :goodjob:

Of course, it's much easier to apply for a visa coming from a European country.

That's not a month. Do you mean June, or July?

You're moving to canada to work in a bakery? Why would you want to move to canada anyway?

    No.
If I would be a resident of the US OTOH, I could simply just step over the border and I would have almost already accomplished the mission. If I would be hiding out in some small village right behind the border immediately after its crossing, nobody would ever be looking out for me.

Six days and three finals are all that separate me from the Fatherland.

Why, to strive after the Canadian dream of course! ;)

But seriously, the answer to this question might be much simpler as you have imagined:

    1. Money

    2. A safe work place, doing a job which I like, but couldn't find in Germany itself

    3. I fell in love with my destination.
Throughout the last three years, I learned the English language, the history of the North American continent and the Canadian culture, all for the sake of this plan. So shortly before the final materialization of my dream, why should I now hesitate to go all of a sudden?

    EDIT:
July of course. Sorry for that mistake.

Because it's all cold, seriously lacks any good beaches, has no good culture of any kind, and has horrible healthcare.

Cold? Not in the summer. It's scorching hot sometimes.

It has better climate than my country anyways and I've only heard good things about Canada's healthcare. As for the beaches I don't think I'd choose where to emigrate based on beaches.

No good culture of any kind? As opposed to the US?

Are you trolling? There are many reasons why I would prefer Canada over the US, one of them is this kind of attitude... :spank:
