Random seeds

I'm probably just lame, blind, or both, but I can't find the 'preserve random seed' option in civ3v129f.

Also, does the seed affect contents of goodie huts, or do I need to completely shut down the game and restart (reloading doesn't seem to work sometimes)?

The option is available when setting up a new game on the same screen where you pick your civilzation.

I believe the random seed does affect goody huts.

not preserving random seed will change the outcome of goody huts everytime u reload... and u cannot change it after the game started... unless u know the particular bytes in the savefile to change
