sometimes I just stare at one of your posts in absolute silence and think to myself "**** is wrong with this man?"

mid-life crisis is a sexist slur designed in order to devalue male-existential crises and reduce them to carnal and material desires. it's a word for belittling a serious psychological phenomenon that can also appear independent of age and sex. "oh, silly guys is unhappy with his marriage, he just needs to buy a motorcycle and chat up some woman at a bar". it's another way of shifting blame to an individual and away from systemic issues. truth is, what we call midlife crisis is just one of many existential crises we go through, we just happened to find a really snappy label for it.

this is my new pet conspiracy theory. hope you like it.

I keep reading the "Ask an Anarchist" thread as "Ask an Antichrist"

When I got as far as "sexist slur designed..." I was sure we were headed towards "to excuse men for abandoning their life partner for a younger stupider version as if it were 'only natural.'" Obviously I misread your direction.

Rant: The sun is glaring on my monitor.
Rave: The screen-cleaner fluid I got works well, so at least I'm not looking at a bunch of annoying smudges and stuff.

It’s an existential anxiety robbing you of direction but providing an opportunity to change course... I think, assuming my 20s and the quarter life crisis counted.

Yeah, maybe, but the D'ump's already on Twitter, so there's no need to give him a platform in CFCOT as well...

I've heard that raw foods are healthier so I skipped grilling my cheese sandwich.

I recommend not listening to that person's advice, it's not sound  There is a reason we don't eat raw potatoes or legumes :D However, incidentally, it is in fact true that melted cheese is often less healthy (i.e. slightly carcinogenic) compared to regular ole cheese.

The landlord came up because somehow water from our bathroom is leaking into the apartment below. That's not good. :undecide:

Is it just me or is Phoenix Point kinda soulless, just like Phantom Doctrine? These two XCOM-likes are competent in terms of gameplay mechanics, but they seem to lack compelling characters and other elements of fluff.

Met a girl and she's pretty cool. Not really crushing on her but that would be suspiciously convenient as I think she likes me and that's not how my life works. I'll probably start liking her for real once she grows bored of me. But look at me meeting people, I'll take it!

Well maybe you could read two further posts down the thread then, if that's not too much trouble. But the simple fact is that it wasn't a serious comment.

There was an advertisement on the radio saying that as a Christmas sale, everything in the store was tax-free...excluding pet food. Except the store is literally named Global Pet Foods.

We usually just get cat food at the grocery store, but get cat litter from a store called Pet Valu. (No, I didn't omit a letter there.)

The only thing I don't like about Pet Valu is they hit you up for food donations at the register. I don't normally mind but what bugs me is the donated can of food comes from their store at full retail price.
