Because it's annoying.
Being annoyed by others is mostly a demonstration of one's own shortcomings.
Legendary "Special Limited Deluxe Collector's Ultimate Game Thread of the Year Edition"
- now I'm content ! xD
I wonder what the maximum thread title length
It doesn't annoy Valka.
I'd recommend wingdings but CFC doesn't support them.
Oh, yes it does! Maybe not in the thread titles, though.
Kind of uncalled for, and the general implication is that one doesn't need to take responsibility for the impact of one's behavior on other people, which I kind of disagree with.
Whatever do you mean?
Roman numerals are standard in a variety of common situations, and I learned to use them decades ago. So to me they are not some weird thing or foreign letters.
Yes, it matters what number thread we're on.
Think of it this way: We are all creating a work of writing that's part fiction, part non-fiction and it's divided into chapters. But lately some of the chapter numbers don't make sense.
It would be courteous to at least provide a translation for those of us who don't speak non-base 10 math or non-English letters.
Copy and paste it into Notepad (or any plain-text editor).
I'm not quite sure what to think here.
There's this town made up of canyons. One big canyon that the freeway runs through and a bunch of branch canyons with windy streets climbing into the hills. I always think of it as "bunch of stuck up prigs." They shoehorn these big monster houses in by terracing the bottom of the canyons, and mostly get real snotty about...well, everything. As I drive down the freeway there are a few places where someone found a ridgetop they could carve a level platform into and then carve some sort of switchback lane driveway for access, and when I see those I invariably wonder "just how much of a prig does it take to need a house like that where you can look down on the rest of the stuck up prigs?"
Soooooo...one of my sons just bought one of those houses.
Personal responsibility for one's behavior is important and it works both ways. Expressing annoyance at others' behavior rather than just ignoring them (especially on the internet) is hardly better than being annoying. It improves the community if folks are less annoying and if folks just let annoying things pass without drawing attention.
Aimee and I are good enough friends that she knows I was not being mean and I did use a to emphasize that. Aimee and I have had enough private communication that I'm pretty sure that she would let me know if I upset her.
I am very upset!!!!
Wait, am i the only one who doesn't have it show as wingdings?
Oh! I actually set it to Wingdings originally but it was displayed as a weird font. That's why i changed it to Comic Sans.
You know, it's been a while since I've seen this font anywhere.
I do really like Century, Palatino Linotype, and Garamond for the serifs, though. You also can rarely go wrong with Georgia.
I'm outta here, too. Bye.
Separate names with a comma.
