Random Thoughts 2: Arbitrary Speculations

I get the liberating feeling (and also some much-needed exercise) from walking to places rather than riding buses or the tube. It's just my feet moving while I get to think things up (it's actually helped me solve difficult assignments for uni or break writer's block, among other things).

I'm of the opinion that you don't really know the geography of a place until you've walked it. Aside from that I get a thrilling feeling walking the paths, thinking of people thousands of years ago walking in the same place as I am now, and what they saw...

Well, now with the internet everywhere, you could be productive everywhere. So I'm not sure if your point is still valid ^^.
(I'll be sitting in the train tomorrow, and I'll be working for some of that time)
It's Scotland, you're lucky to get a mobile signal in the middle of Glasgow, never mind rural Perthshire.

When I do that I just get lost and have to find an adult that can help me.

My short-term memory is so hopelessly screwed up these days that I've managed to get lost less than a block away from my house. Luckily it only happened once.

I have no problems whatsoever with my....unmm....what was i talking about?

I think we were talking about doughnuts. They're delicious.

My local grocery store charges a lot for my supplements and drinks. After over a year of dealing with this I'm somewhat in the financial position to order these through Amazon instead once a month. I'll save around $65 a month by making this switch.

Not too sure how effective this will be in practice so that's why I'm not considering it a rave yet.

Is $65/month a significant number? I'm completely clueless as to prices and income in Canadia.

I spend $240/mo for supplements, beverages, food, and the delivery costs associated with all that.

In actual buying power it's about equal to a week's work of groceries for me.

Wow. So… raves thread then? 65 is over a fourth of 240.

Aaargh, I didn't correct it fast enough.

See? I'm so affected by this that I forgot to correct you on misspelling ‘maths’.

Math aside, $65 savings is a good thing.

@Synsensa: Was your local store not willing to give you a deal on that stuff, if you bought a lot of it every month?

The manager at my grocery store will give me a bit of a discount on case lots, which really helps with some things.

Exactly, Tim. I'm so ill I forgot to troll you.

Luckily for you I'm a skilled distance healer. I'll give you a flu-be-gone for free but if you want a stamina boost as well it'll be 14.99

That sticky on r/watchpeopledie sure loves denying that they make fun of people dying. Even though half of the posts in a given thread are basically as such.

It's funny hearing Black Panther has a diverse cast when the vast majority are from the second-largest racial group in the United States.

Its cast includes actors from more countries than most movies. That’s what diverse means.

The majority of the cast of Black Panther is Hispanic? That's news.
