Random Thoughts 2: Arbitrary Speculations

Hmmm… I suggest you unzip it and see, given that I'm running it on Linux (installed from official repository) and you're downloading it for Windows. :undecide:
Best I can do are Shriners riding go-karts.
You need to improve your game, sonny jim.

There's an .exe in the zip, Valka. So you can just unzip it using 7zip or whatever else you use and there'll be a game inside. I checked it and got no anti-virus flags.

I just bought it on Steam last month. It was $8.49 CDN for the base game and the necessary expansion packs (All you really need is the base game and Beyond the Sword), they also threw in Colonization. So, four games for less than $10. Definitely a win for me, since my install disk wouldn't read in Windows 10.

Is that the Civ4 Colonization? I only played that like twice and got bored of it. Where I had played the original many times, but have since lost the disk. :(

I don't know what other thread this could go in. But it's strange enough so that it should be recorded.

I very rarely have any real memory of my dreams. But this one was so odd that it stuck with me.

I dreamed that Jessica Alba was running for Congress. Her campaign theme was "Best Legs!" And the pic had her at a desk with an American flag on one side, and a Confederate flag on the other side.

:eekdance:

Yeah, it's the Civ4 version. Not great. I don't know why it was made.

I haven't tried it yet. I don't know if I will ever bother. I'm not really into that sort of limited historical thing. History bores the daylights out of me. I don't actually play civ for the history angle, I play for grand strategy. Don't get me wrong, I read the history of CIv4 for the flavor of the game, but I don't really go looking at other sources to find out more about Asoka for example.

Really? I found that my knowledge of (and interest in) European history rose dramatically after playing Europa Universalis III.

Well, yeah, Arakhor, but Civ games don't usually allow ‘diplomatic insult’ as an option. EUIII had a lot more politicking.

Try playing the original Civilization board game (pre-computer game era) with a group of SCA people. The gaming sessions were usually accompanied by history lectures.

That could be interesting, but that's the wrong time for that, I think.

I've been working on a website for somebody and I thought it'd be a good idea to put the front page through Browsershots. Except that I forgot to take it off maintenance mode first, so I got 200 screenshots of a damn login page. Good job, me.

I can just take the site off maintenance mode and try again. It was mostly funny, really.

Erm... i have any number of things to say about the Anglospherian usage of the term "3rd Reich", but...
...most obviously: maybe don't misspell it "Riech".

On second thought: Please do. It's hilarious.

I think I have a good idea for a get rich financially comfortable quick scheme with minimal effort.
Make videos on the internet about how the progressives are actually regressive. Problem is, it may already be too late to jump on that train and I need a gimmick.
Maybe make the vids in blackface to show that I can identify with black people as a counter to accusations of racism.

Are you trying to join the Foreign Office?
