What a difference from the first Korean game!! The key factors were the one pointed out by Skyfish, but there's one other critical factor that we did right here and failed to do in the first game...

We did not fear to take on a growing superpower who was half an age ahead of us in tech and pulling away. I think if we had been as cautious, and not hit the Mongols when we did just because they looked more powerful and more advanced, we could easily have seen them launch. It's really amazing how badly we got beat in the other game, and how we trounced the opposition here!

We also started in the middle of a jungle in the first game in which we had no city that could produce much until we were up against the wall.

While I remember you guys getting trounced in the previous game, I was still impressed at how well you guys did given the hole you were in... This game was much easier by far... (although, there were a couple of hairy turns... )

With MoO Epics starting up, I think this will be my last Civ3 game for awhile. This was a nice game to end on...
