RBD16 SG - Opium Moghuls Luxury Game

Actually, if this game is starting up again without Charis, drop me from the roster. My time for playing Civ3 is going to be limited for at least the next month, and this is the least interesting-to-me of the games that I'm still nominally attached to.

Charis never quite "sold me" on this concept. He seemed to be in search of an amorphous "alternative" to the standard gameplay flavor of steadily gaining advantage over the AI as the game rolls on. We had some (almost heated) exchanges over just what he was asking us to do in this game and we finally came to clarity of his priorities and intent... then the game dies. :) Sometimes life works out strangely. I know he still has the desire to play -- he described his decision to stop indefinitely as an "internal struggle" -- but he's out of the loop now, and the RBD games will definitely miss him.

I don't see how this game can continue without him, at least not in the spirit in which he conceived it. If it is going to continue without him, it will also have to continue without me.

- Sirian

I was thinking *exactly* what Sirian was thinking. This game kinda died recently, and un(less?)(till?) Charis comes back, the motivation for this game is not there.

So ditto to Sirian's remark. I'd like this game to continue, but without Charis, I don't want to play it.
