Reagent harder after Deity

Does anyone else feel like after playing on a more difficult level for a while and adapting strategies for the difficult levels, the lower level seems more difficult to play.

When playing on deity level, the other player are always well off which means I can generate a lot of revenue through trades. I need that to support a massive army. However on reagent, the AI is always broke which also hurts my ability to play.

Yup, you learn to adapt to the AI being more powerful, and start to rely on the AI being more powerful.

I don't consider regent to be "harder" in terms of achieving victory; however, I see your point. It does take a major readjustment after playing at the highest levels.

It is not harder. But I do get use to AI being more powerful and did not demand or war with AI early enough in the lower levels.

Well, it could be kind of annying having to do all your research for yourself ...

For me, it's the opposite! After messing around with Deity and even Sid for while, I found Regent to be very relaxing.
