panzer looks like a gray sherman

bomber = flying fortress?

fighter, could be any number of ww2 fighters

jet fighter, looks like an f16. i have to admit i haven't seen the american f15 graphic though

stealth fighter = f117

stealth bomber = b2

mech infantry, i'm stumped...

modern tank looks like m1 abraham

others are pretty generic i think.

Panzer graphics are actually the Panzer III/IV. I think alot of people are expecting something like JagPanzer of Tiger which is why they refuse to accept the Panzer graphic

And the mech infantry is based of the Bradley if I am not mistaken.

The Jet fighter is actually based off the MiG-29 Falcrum

The Mech Infantry is based off of the M2A2/A3 Bradley.

And I believe the fighter is one of the German WW II ones. Either a Focke Wulf 190 or Messerchmitt 109.

Have any of you noticed that the Mech Inf ingame actually looks a bit like a Panther tank fr WW2,with a different turret "we" could make a Panther out of it...*looks at Dark Sheer*

And yes the German Panzer is a PzIII.

i remember the civ panzer having a round turret... that's what threw me off. didn't the pzIII and IV have boxier turrets?

yep i agree the mech infantry is the bradley, and jetfighter is mig-29

the fighter is still open to debate

battleship = iowa class battleship

iron clad = monitor

ageis cruiser = ageis cruiser

i still haven't been able to identify the following as they are too generic:

destroyer
artillery
cannon (risk? :crazyeyes )
radar artillery (this could be based a real rocket launcher)

Think they were "inspired" by some units fr rl,but gave ´em a Firaxis touch, to make them acceptable for all civs.

After taking a closer look at the fighter in the civilopedia, it is most definitely a Spitfire. Good call Dirk.
