Mmm yes, you are right. I remember last game I had lost of sorties and no or little bomber exp... It was supposed that was the way they get experience, but perhaps is only when they really shot down the enemy plane? Not sure at all, I'm waitin for an anwser like you :undecide:

Thanks for pointing out! This problem exists specifically in scenarios, where the extra trade route per city should be saved in the file, but it isn't. I'll fix that.

Well, so far bombers only getting experience from air combat is WAD, which of course means they aren't likely to earn much experience. This is basically how it was in vanilla, and we didn't change that. Can't promise any changes in this regard in future...

Fixed the pedia text. The change in net happiness was intentional. At this point in game, 1 happiness is more or less immaterial, and Federalism was strictly better than Democracy in almost all cases (which was actually adequately reflected by AI never adopting Democracy). Now both have their uses, with Democracy a clear winner if you want to maximize the happiness gain.

This happens from time to time, but usually, as in your case, open borders take care of this, and such a civ just becomes the driver of everyone's technological growth. I am not inclined to see it as a problem in itself, as this technological pace can only be kept up by a small civ, and when it starts to expand due to technological edge, it naturally evens out.

Probably something going on with Sourceforge servers. It happens from time to time; I'm currently having trouble checking out as well. Just check later and at some point the problem will disappear when they fix it on their side, usually doesn't last more than a couple of days.

Thank you for your help. It works. I should say that earlier though,
I was planning to just start the default RI mod and quit after several terns and set up the custom game to make it works again. as you said.
But the problem was I couldn't quit the default mod and later the custom game too.
and... I realized that the days were passed without any notice. I just finished the games..
God! I couldn't stop it. It is really great mod..
again, Thank very much you for you and Realism Invictus team members.

    p.s.
I'm kinda working on unit graphics, usually re-skinning.

There will be more in the future if I don't get lazy.

    Hey,

actually I am making a Scenario for Realism Invictus and while testing I found the following bugs:
    • When I add spies to a civilization that has not many technologies (just 2 or 3) the game crashes between round 1 and 10.
    • When I have more than 50 playable civilizations (PlayableCiv=1) the game crashes at start.
    • Most of my handicap changes resetting back to Handicap=HANDICAP_NOBLE all the time.
    • Culture of barbarian cities resetting back to 0 each time I load the scenario.
    • All Attitude Changes I make in the diplomatic editor are changing nothing. I have to change the Attitude in the save file.
    • When I change the AttitudeExtra to -100 of 2 civilizations they open borders eachother. Shouldn't they hate eachother instead?
    • For unknown reason the AI razes high value nearby cities with lots of world wonders. Wouldn't it be more useful to capture them?
Don't know if you care about specify bugs like this :)

Will you split Seafarer trait into 2 traits, one of them (seafarer) has economic bonuses and other (invader) has military bonuses, both regarding coastal cities and naval units?
Edit: New seafarer would lose faster production for military naval buildings and that free sailor promotion but would also gain +1 trade routes in Non-Coastal cities that borders a river.
New invader would gain faster production for military naval buildings and that free sailor promotion, plus gaining a free amphibious promotion for melee, archery and gunpowder units.
While seafarer will have greater economic gain, invader will have greater military ability, both on naval and land units, in regards to sea warfare.

Is it my Linux setup? Can some1 reproduce?

It happens on clicking next turn about 2 or 3 turns from save onwards.

Help! I tried installing the mod, but I forgot to change the file path to my SSD. I stopped the download by killing the program in task manager because the cancel function isn't available during setup. After that I deleted the 2K Games file out of my X86 folder and reinstalled Civ4. Now I'm trying to install realism but the installer keeps aborting, saying it is detecting another version of the program already installed. How do I correct this?

I guess no. There are so many files interoperating in this mod.

Does RI show up in your "Software Programs" section of Windows? Try to uninstall it. If it doesn't work, try to remove the entry via a 3rd party tool like CCleaner. Then you should be able to reinstall again.

I've attempted to find it in the program list but it doesn't appear, and ccleaner keeps crashing on me. I'm really not in the mood to go through a ten thousand step debug to find out what's wrong with that program just to fix another.

Well, as I often commented in the past, the WorldBuilder is a third party component and I have no idea of its inner workings. So I don't know about most of those. As for the last one, I think I already tweaked the AI to be less raze-happy, but in general it actually evaluates the utility of a new city vs razing it, and from what I've seen they behave reasonably more often than not.

At this point, there will be no new traits.

Thanks, noted and will be looked at.

I guess it is, but I see no reason for doing it.

Yeah, but it is really really tedious. It's not a simple one-line change.

In Europe scenario, there are two separate civs, Germany and Prussia. Prussian has Prussian flag, German has republican flag. Revolutionary is reserved for actual revolutionaries, and Friedrich didn't come to power through a revolution IIRC. I know that Temperamental gives a military malus now, but he has a bonus to outweigh it. And though he was religiously skeptical, he never entered into open conflict with clergy. And I do believe that Representation is a fitting civic for him, as his administrative reforms opened the state administration for people of all social classes.

Just sharing thoughts about 2 or 3 new civs at South America and 1 new trait...
New civs would be Brazil (includes Tupi leaders), Argentina (includes Patagonian leaders), Paraguay (includes Guarani leaders)
New trait would be Dominator, changing Seafarer trait aswell

    Dominator modifiers:
    Air Units receive +3 XP
    Helicopter Units
    receive +3 XP
Free Sailor Training Promotion for Transport, Sailing Ship, Patrol Boat, Escort, Cruiser, Capital Ship, Aircraft Carrier and Submarine Units
    50% Faster Production
of Airbase, Bomb Shelters, Bunker, Drydock, Shipyard, Industrial Shipyard and Nuclear Silo

    Seafarer
    new modifiers:
-1.00% Chance of Epidemics in Empire
+1 Trade Routes in all Coastal Cities
    50% Faster Production
    of Workboat
    50% Faster Production
of Airport, Fishing Docks, Harbor, Lighthouse, Shipyard, Industrial Shipyard, Admiralty and Seaside Resort

With new civilizations having their spawn points at South America on Earth Large maps, playing as Inca on higher difficulties will not be as safe as has been before.
With all those changes on Dominator+Seafarer, some current Seafarer leaders will have their trait changed into Dominator, but not all of them, and combinations between all positive traits will be possible if also add 2 or 3 civs, each one with 5, 6 or 7 leaders. (from 10 to 21 new combinations)
I know we also need to fill the gap at North America and Australia with more new civs but probably it will require more than 2 or 3 new civs suggested here.
I think its not on scope of next version yet but maybe can come a few versions ahead, need to do a lot of research first before starting to add each new civ to mod.

Giving sailor training to units that are not sailing ships doesn't make any sense, because promotion of that doctrine can be given only to sailing ships. Submarine with sailor training cant get promotions reserved for sailing ships.

If you check ingame civilopedia you'll see:
1- I splitted current Seafarer into suggested Seafarer and Dominator
2- Then added two buildings for suggested Seafarer faster production as they're related to air and are economical replacements for not having drydocks anymore at suggested Seafarer
3- Following the split and step 2, added four buildings for suggested Dominator as they're also related to air and missiles but are military replacements for not having fishing docks, harbor, lighthouse and admiralty as current Seafarer has
4- Suggested Seafarer gets a bonus related to epidemics chance, only to reinforce economy flavour
5- Suggested Dominator get a bonus experience for air and helicopter units, to compensate not having extra trade routes and not having fast production for workboat as current Seafarer has
6- After, i advocated for adding 2 or 3 civs at South America, to give reasoning for new suggested Dominator and suggested Seafarer, possibility to move some Seafarer leaders (Hirohito, Ragnar, Victoria) into suggested Dominator and possibility to move some leaders from other traits into Seafarer (some Financial or Humanist come in mind for this)
7- At last, marked the suggestions as not to be done for next version but to developers take their time and research about it, expecting to see it about 2 or 3 versions ahead.

Now, i see all of this and comes with those questions
1- Should had i suggested something for buff Protective a bit by removing Archery Range building as prerequisite for longbows only for protective leaders?
2- Should had i suggested something for buff Dominator a bit more by allowing Fishing Docks building to grant +1 Gold on city plot only for Dominator leaders?
3- Should had i suggested more 1 civ for South America (Colombia) and more 1 civ for North America (Canada) too?

Please stop. I already wrote that new traits are NOT going to happen. New civs are also unlikely to happen, but even if they do, they won't be based on anyone's suggestions, but rather on the availability of usable content. New leaders for existing civs are also extremely unlikely to happen at this point. So suggesting any of this is essentially pointless at this time. We're not looking to add much in the way of new content to the eventual 3.5, it will be mostly a quality-of-life, balance and bugfix release.
