I smashed up my finger trying to pull the cord out from behind the TV (the TV fell on it!) and now I'm trying to plug them into the computer.

Near the bottom of the CPU case, theres a yellow hole which I assume is for the yellow cord. Up a little further, near the rest of the cords, there's a red and white-grey hole, which are the same size. However, I'm not sure if these are for the other two cords (red and white). Am I doing this right? I'm not even sure if there's a video adaptor card or whatever you call it.

Thank you.:lol::blush:

(P.S. I'm doing this, as I'm expecting to recieve a tape in the mail soon, and I told some friends I would convert to a digital video. So I'm figuring it out now so I can be ready.)

OUCH! about the finger :(

Most computers don't have capture capability out of the box. In my opinion the best ones will be an expansion card and the cheapest will be a USB connected device. If you go the expansion card route, you may be able to find one that does digital terrestrial television as well, maybe for a little extra. If you get a USB one, make sure it and your system (hardware and OS) can do USB2.0 for its bandwidth, although USB1 will still work.

You then use personal video recorder (PVR) software to make the copy.

Thank you. I asked my mom to check out the video-to-USB adaptors. I hope they aren't too expensive.

$50 is expensive for us.

Thank you.
