Oh I'm sure everyone is well aware of what I mean Arya.... After all, your track record hasn't exactly been the most spotless now has it? If any one of us here was going to be accused of treason, who exactly would be the prime suspect I wonder?

We ALREADY KNOW that they were supported by Rome. And please, please dont start a bunch of sh*t about me supporting them. If i do something and you accuse me of it with evidence, then i will most likely admit it. But this time, you have no evidence, and i didnt do it, yet you are accusing me of helping the copperheads. Hell no. Im the only one that even responded to them in the begining. IM THE ONE THAT TOOK OUT HLF THEIR LEADERSHIP and even scared away their leader. Dont accuse me of being a roman sympathyzer. I havent even committed treason. So dont accuse me of that either.
My track record? Well lets see, i got 15 seconds on the 100M hurdles last year...6 minutes flat on the mile...and a pathetic 12 feet on the long jump. Dont see whats wrong with that.

Really? Arya may have went off the deep end as an opposition leader with his actions, however he has asked for a chance to prove himself and everyone seemed fine with him being opposition leader this time, please don't accuse others of treason without hard concrete evidence.

Well, it's about time, I guess...
Yet another one of my belated posts:
ON RUSSIA: What we need to do is to walk a careful path. We obviously need to have Russia make peace with Rome, but as Arya has said, if we do that, nothing stops Rome from directly assaulting US.
Therefore, the logical conclusion is that we have Russia make peace with Rome a few turns before we make peace with Rome. I need to see the power graph to make sure, but with current situations I say optimistic estimate of ultimate capitulation is 20-30 turns, pessimistic, 10-20 turns. With roads, Roman troops will probably take 4-6 turns to reach us from the Eastern front. To take Neapolis, we'll probably require 3-5 turns of movement, 1-2 turns of attack. Cumae probably 2-3 turns of movement, 1-2 turns of attack.
Therefore, our best bet is to take Neapolis, have Russia make peace, then take Cumae; make peace ourselves. It's risky, because doing so might just upset the power balance enough for Rome to capitulate, but it's the best shot we have. Then there's the whole rebuilding deal, but that's a discussion for another day.

But then rome survives, with its production base in the east intact, and a decent financial area in the balkands and italy, plus germany (the revolter in the balkans) will almost certainly get destroyed.

Ahh, evidently when I said that "We all know what I mean" I was mistaken. Perhaps I was being too subtle. I was not accusing Arya of treason. I was warning him, with his vulnerable political position, to not be found to be involved with someone in the Copperheads. He might get accused of something he wasn't a part of simply by association. Particularly this mysterious "Joker" fellow that we have all yet to meet. Arya has gone so far as to name his party after him and yet we have seen neither hide, nor hair of him. If this Joker fellow was found out to indeed be the leader of the Copperheads as was speculated some pages back, how would that reflect on that man's political and public frontman? ie: Arya?

Wait, Civil War? I'm trying to be helpful, through the use of deliberately pretentious language yes, but I'm still just trying to help. Perhaps I need to be less loquacious in future...
OOC: I thought it would make a neat character trait, but evidently it's not working so I'll cut it and just speak plain from now on. All I've been trying to say is that might not go down well towards Arya's attempts to make amends if it turns out the mysterious NPC he named his party after turns out to be a traitor. I'm sorry if that's come across the wrong way. I'm really not trying to make enemies. My apologies for any offence.

Okay lets something straight fargle. I named my party due to a convo in chat with LH, and only after did he reveal the identity of the leader of the copperheads to me. Its a coincidence. Besides, his twin sister is the one thats part of my party, not the joker himself. Yes, civil war. Accusing someone of treason (while immortal politicians dont really have 'crimes' the way that the normal in game people do, so we cant be killed/stopped from posting/and only through the use of EP can an immortal be jailed and stopped from using actions), will lead to someone getting pissed off. People take this game way too serious, and im afraid to say it can spread.

I wasn't accusing anyone of treason! I was saying that IF, IF anyone was found to be associating with someone involved with the Copperheads then they MIGHT be charged with treason. I singled you out because a: You have been involved with a mysterious NPC who suspicion has fallen on in the past and b: You have the most to lose. I wasn't accusing anyone of treason!
