see the box of the game but is suggest out of experience that you schould have an processor of 2000mhz or more(i played with an AMD sempron 3100+ = 1800 mhz)

Although I must admit I like bragging about my AMD X2 6000+ with the 8800GT and 4 gig RAM as well. Rather satisfying isn't it?

Yeah, when I read the OP I figured this was going to be a bragging rights thread... Sadly, I haven't updated my desktop for a while, so I don't think I'll post those specs (though, for a 5 or 6 year old machine, it's still a contender!)

From my experience in playing Civ BtS on 3 different Boxes, the most important quality is sufficient Ram - having 2 Gig instead of 1 really makes a difference in later game when the number of Units goes up a lot.
Apart from that, my old Pentium IV 3.0 Ghz box with a GForce 6800 still does fine, on the same 1280x1024 resolution as the other ones.
Although my new box with a 2.4Ghz Quad-core, 3 Gig RAM and GForce 8500 definitely runs much smoother.
My laptop with a T7200 dual-core Pentium and GForce 7400 Go and 2 Gig Ram is smack in the middle.

While we're on the subject, anyone ever deal with Alienware? Thinking of a new supercharged computer and Cray is a bit out of my price range... 
I may not be hardcore gamer, but I still enjoy playing civ 4.
