Recording Music Streams

Sort of makes sense to me...Just a few questions:

What's a Hinet recorder?
And what can I do with an .asf file? Is it like a regular music file (that can be converted to .mp3)?

Well I figured out how to do it, I think, but its not working.

I opened up Volume Control, went to Record, put it on Line In, and made sure the volume wasn't muted or too low or anything.

Then I opened up GoldWave, made a new file, set it to CD Audio quality.

Then I opened up the stream in Windows Media and began playing it, and started recording right after.

I did about a 10 second test, and when I played back the recorded file in GoldWave, there was silence...

:hmm:

I didn't use the function in a while... Here's how you do it

Volume Control -> Propreties -> Recording -> Select the "Stereo mix" from the list -> Click OK -> then select "Stereo Mix Ballance" and you're set.
