I'm in if you've got space, I live in New Zealand so the timing works well for me. I can usually do any night except Tuesdays
Also, a suggestion for this. Use a Google shared calendar, so everyone can write down what days they're free on the calendar, which would be an easy way to see what days everyone can make it.

Come to think of it, it might be fun to be a reserve player. If you've got a player who can't make it I could take their spot for the evening, once the game is up and running. I won a few Civ IV pitboss games back in the day so I'll probably do a good job of running their empire, but if they want to tell me what their broad strategy is (in particular, social policies) I'd more or less follow it.
Not sure how easy it is to switch empires between players in Civ V though.

Hello the oob. I'm very glad to see another player in the same timezone! As you probably know, they are few and far between.
Did a search on steam but there are way too many 'oobs' to know which might be you. Couldn't find silverfuturist either.

Alright, we have another game underway. And the best part is the new guys are in the same timezone as me--glad to have you guys aboard. Should make getting a bigger game going next time much easier.

Wonders I remember so far:

zalta - Hanging Gardens
RedRob - Stonehenge?
Current score order I think is myself, the oog, zalta, RedRob. The aztecs have just conquered an American city, so zalta may have leapfrogged in points, not sure.
We discussed playing again next Friday. I'm open to chucking another game in during the week if you guys want. Monday would be good for me, if that works for you guys?

Short two hour sessions are perfect for me on weeknights, whenever everyone can play.
If Wednesday's an option for everyone, that might work.
If not, we'll pick it up again Friday.
...random civs...probably some different reasons there for each player. Personally part of what I enjoy in civ is making the most of the hand you get dealt; throwing in a random civ just adds to the fun. It also means you get to play various civs you might not otherwise. And it's a good pick if you're clueless about who to pick, too.
