This story is based off a recent Large Continents map with 10 civs.
I played as the Romans (yes I preat rushed, but who hasn't
) Anyway this is about the early wars i fought, but the last one against a reeling Greece, after all other Civs were destroyed. I decided to write/type about a Roman General, a Greek draftee, and a Roman Tank Commander.
Eddie woke up, upon hearing the distant sound of tanks rolling by his tent. He put his helmet on and grabbed his .45 caliber pistol. He knew the whizzing sound of Spartan-class tanks when he heard 'em. When he got outside he saw the rest of his tank crew assemble. He checked his watch, Damn its not even 3 o'clock yet. He whispered to his friend Nikoli, a man of Russian origin, "Nick you got a LAW, on you?" His friend replied, "No". "Alright guys lets try to get to the tank over at the ridge". Unfortunatley the ridge was 200 yards away from the camp. Eddie grabbed an AK-47 from the arms tent they had set up. He led his men by the road and looked both ways. "Okay, no tanks that I can see, let's move". They crossed the street only hear the rustling of bushes near by. "Greek Infantry", he muttered to his men, praying to what ever being that dominated the Earth, that they would not be seen or heard. "Romans!" "Romans!" A Greek shouted. "Open fire!", Eddie cried, while he clicked off the safety on his weapon and let out a stream of lead aimed at the bushes, his comrades did the same. A Greek came out and attemped to bash his skull in with the back end of his rifle. Eddie turned around and switched his AK to semi-automatic fire and popped two shots at the Greek, the target fell to ground. Dead. Five more Greeks charged at the group, only to be massacred by Nick's SAW machine gun. The Greek infantry platoon retreated. They must be retreating to Knossos, tommorow's target, he thought. He ran up the hill to the ridge, up to the tank and pulled out the radio, "This is Commander Eddie Stockan, my crew and I were ambushed by a group of tanks and infantry attempting a counter-attack against us". "This is Division, we have two gunships in the area, we're sending them in now". "Copy that, thanks Division". Eddie sighed in relief and began to wonder if even the Great Ceasar could save him now. He knew that when there where a group of tanks there was bound to be more. He decided that he was underestimating the gunships though, their payload of missles could destroy hundreds of tanks if given they could reload after each attack. Plus, he thought, these Spartan tanks don't live up their name anyway, one shell from my tank and thats one dead tank crew. He looked at the ten Greek Military symbols symboling the ten dead tanks he and his men killed and then turned around and saw the lights off the distant city of Knossos, and thought after you, then its Sparta, and after that there was Athens, and then the Tank ride back to Washington, and to the ones I love most. After thinking of his wife and kids he felt exhausted and returned to his men to rest and recover.

, plus the Greeks didn't expect them to be there and fighting back anyway, the Greeks attacked at night to startle the enemy position, think of it like the Battle of Trenton, Washington crossed the Delware to attack the Hessian Mercs, who were better fighters, but were sleeping, so Washington's men easy captured and killed them.
