Religion Guard

Now if you played a civ game before, you probably already know how to keep missionaries and apostles from spreading their religion to your city. The answer is simply. Surround your city with units to prevent the missionaries from getting adjacent to your city-center. This is especially great when you get a late religion and other Civ's are spanning religious units to quickly to cope with.

Here is an example picture when Ghandi just would not relent. He even lined the city with missionaries.

twenty turns in I had a complete ring around my Xi'an which was my only city capable of making religious units. I think Harald started converting his cities because he left shortly after.
