Religious Dominance or Multi-Religious

Which in your opinion is more beneficial later in the game: Controlling the most dominent religion in the world or having every city have every religion?

My vote goes to religious dominance, but only bc i havent ever been able to spread every religion throughout my civ.

For a Cultural Victory, I'd assume having every religion, but don't know for sure. Otherwise...well, let's just say that Ghandi's gotten more than a couple butt-kickings over being a little too good at preaching the faith that he started.
