Religious Victory Movie

Some mods have a religious victory condition but as far as I know there is no proper endmovie for it.

I am wondering if there is need for this kind of movie.

If so, I would like to know:

1. what should be in it?
2. soundtrack?
3. length?

Suggestions are welcome.

Religious victory should perhaps be a scene of the Ganges river at sunlight, with pilgrims just arriving and birds flying, like at the beginning of the film "Gandhi" minus the text.

Soundtrack, something like sitar music or a Hindu hymn or raga if possible

Length, not too long, maybe 30 seconds at most.

Make it very peaceful, beautiful, etc.

Probably something like in the BTS scenario Crossroads of the World where you win once you have 30000 gold. Represents holding financial power over the entire world.

Anyhoo, that would be great. Have near the river a church, synagogue, mosque, mandir, stupa, academy, and pagoda.

Perhaps the movie should be a bit like the culture victory one, only with the city dominated by a HUGE amount of chuches and cathedrals (buildings from any other religion would be ok too).

The Ganges idea sounds good as well.

Sorry OV, didn't put any effort in it lately. On the other hand I wasn't aware you were waiting for it. I'll start to dig up the old footage in the catacombs of my PC

I suggest a lenght for this one approx. 40-45 secs.

My only real request would be that it visually match the other victory movies (i.e. - be somewhat cartoony, not real photos).

If I were making it, I'd love to see the table from the Religion Founding movies, a flash of light, then fade into the globe from the vanilla intro movie with all the little flashes of light spreading across it to symbolize the spread of whatever religion. Maybe even use part of the Baba Yetu as the background music for this. I'd try to avoid using the actual religion icons as much as possible, so that the movie can work well with mods that add or subtract the religions that come with the game.

Don't expect stuff like Firaxis made. It's far beyond my capabilities but nonetheless thanks for the input. Maybe I can use part of their Biks to add to the RVM.
And no Baba Yetu...we need something new

I think that video splicing and even using songs like Baba Yetu and the Arabic Warlords number are worthwhile, since a lot of that material is rendered obsolete by the BtS intro. By using the older material in religious victory and other movies, you continue to find a venue for it in the game. Ideally, I'd even go so far as to resplice the BtS intro as well and use combined pieces of all three to create what would be essentially Firaxis-made Religious, Diplomatic, and Economic victory movies. Now that, would be a truly impressive gift for the community methinks.

Why not including some of the 'found religion' scenes? And for variety's sake JustATourist's religious religious scenes could always be used (those from his Just Another Religion Mod).

I think the religious victory movie should display scenes of religious progress in sequential order. ...The founding of the religion, Missionaries spreading the faith, Inquisitors conducting a trial to supress heresy, The Holy City attracting huge crouds, worship of the faithful at the shrine, crusaders and zelots in battle against non-state religious forces and cap it all off with the joy of religious unity at the Cathedral. There should be epic scenes, as displayed in the Movie the Kingdom of Heaven. I still like the following phrase:

"Congratulations. Your missionaries have spread your religion to the ends of the earth and the inquisition has defended the faith by purging all non-believers from your empire. The most Holy City attracks millions of believers to worship at the Holy Shrine and your religious crusade has crushed all resistance. Now your religious faith dominates all other religions in the Empire: This Empire. Laughs. ...But other challenges await, as there are other empires to be conquered in Civilization 4."

Duration about 45 seconds to 1 minute is appropriate.

I have no idea how to use these 'nif-movies'. If anyone knows how to export these 'nif-movies' to ie. avi-format I can to use them.
