Replacing Standard Civ IV Religions

I'm interested in replacing the standard religions in Civ IV with religions of my own choice. Could somebody please direct me to modpacks and/or instructions that will allow me to do this?

You could play Just Another Religion Mod, which adds several new religions to the game.

If you want to mod yourself, you should take a look at the Shinto Mod.
This mod only adds the Shinto religion, so there are all the xml files in it, which have to be changed for a new religion.
