Request: Khampa Horseman

Various mods included Tibet as a civ with a UU called "Khampa Horseman", but none of these mods seem to have been released. Has someone made that Khampa Horseman, or was it only thought as a unit, but never created?
If it has not been done, I kindly request the unit makers to do this unit. It will feature in my personal mod, which I maybe will upload (supposed webspace). P.S.: Notice, the mod will be in German, so for English versions, you'll have to translate (I think).

No one has ever made a "Khampa Horseman" unit, unfortunately. You can use one of the various Mongol horsemen unit available here to represent one.

P.S.: Notice, the mod will be in German, so for English versions, you'll have to translate (I think).

Only certain things will be in German actually. Some text is hardcoded to your regional version of the game, and some is just specific to .txt file attached to the scenario or mod. The regional text will automatically be replaced by each users personal copy, meaning an American civ gamer will automatically change the hardcoded German in your game to the English in his. The .txt file is all you really have to worry about. Please correct my if I'm wrong anybody.

A while back I found this image of a Tibetan Light Horseman on the web -



While he is shown using a bow, I believe they could also use a Chinese-style sword or a lance.

(The names they give are to fit them into a certain set of wargaming rules, not the historic name of the units)

Here's a modern Bhutanese (Bhutan is next to Tibet) archer in traditional costume, for a clearer image of a bow; the striped costume may lend some ideas for incorporating civ color.

Well, at last I know for sure now.
If someone wants to do a Khampa Horseman unit, please do so!
Otherwise I will have to use a Mongol Mounted unit (or something similar); that's no really big problem, though.

Id like to see more Tibetan units in general...These horsemen (both a light and Heavy version would be GREAT!) would be excellent...

Indeed, if someone made them, it would definitely be sweet! And the best part, these can be used for various civs. Definitely a needed missing link in the chain.

I put a request in the unit request thread; let's hope someone does some Tibetan units.
