Request: "light" maps (or scenarios) for

Hi all,
I'm searching for some maps playable on not-that-powerful pcs.
Giants maps crash, and even big maps with 18 civs become too slow on late game (it takes a life to finish turn, quite boring).
So I'd like suggestion on earth/europe/regional/ecc. maps of normal size and 10-15 civs (if possible "realistic" maps, more fun if english are in uk and so...).
Some cool scenario would be perfect the same.
I'd ask you to be clear, 'cause I don't a lot about mods, editors, patches or sort of things (I'm using Bts 3.13, i guess it's the latest "standard" version).
I've tried to check out the "download" section but with not a lot of success, guess I'm a little ********.

Well, a standard map is around 5600 plots. So you should look out for maps that are smaller then this. 56x100 or something below this should work on slower computers.
