You might have noticed (while using AI autoplay (thx²jdog 
)) that AI players will often...
...ABORT researching a technology which gives a Great Person when anybody else is going to complete the research faster.
That's fu*king stupid most of the time. It maybe makes sense when they are not going to get a free technology, but a free Great Person is not that important.
It also makes sense while researching a religious technology, but not much if there is a chance to build a wonder which can be built after researching that technology.
I also noticed, it's easy to research all military techs faster than any AI player. Smaller, weak civilizations should research important military techs more often to get their power back.
