This is recent as earlier this week this was working properly.
I discovered this in a previous game and ran the game file verification available on Steam. It told me there were 6 files that couldn't be verified and said it was updating them. When that finished I reran the verification to double-check it.
The second run said there were 3 files that couldn't be verified and said it was updating them. When that finished I reran the verification to double-check it. When that finished I got the same error message again.
