Resizing pics

From screenshots, is there a way to make them so each pic isn't over 2MB? What I do is take screenshot, then paste it to "paint". Yeah I know I'm a noob at this, but can anyone over any advice on screenshots (because I want to post some with the story I'm currently writing)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you're saving it has a .bmp files (bitmap) instead of a jpeg or gif file.

When you go to save the file, click on the file type and change it from .bmp to .jpg or .gif. Either will considerably reduce the size of the file.
