The revolutionary daintily put his hand into the box of fruit. He grabbed a handful of grapes and popped them into his mouth one by one.
The dark room was thick with smoke, and the heavy scent of wine clogged men's throats almost as badly as the smoke. A gentle light, almost as if trying to protrude through the darkness and soot, came in through a stain glass window of Jesus.
The church had become the home for the revolutionaries. Greece had risen to revolt after centuries of suppression by the Roman Theocracy. Now, as members of the religion that was Eastern Orthodoxy, their members fought a holy war even as Russia was ground to the dirt as enemies of Catholocism.
Yet, Athens had been reclaimed. The small city-state of Athens now fought against naught but Roman colonists in the Greek lands, as the strait of Corinth and the region known as Thessaly rose in their arms to fight the Roman warlords.
The Roman government had been sufficiently known for its corruption. The weak governor Octavian had been bribed and the local militia would not act against the Greeks; though it was of little matter, as a large part of it's constituency was of Greek blood.
Now Athens sought to rebuild her destroyed culture, under the leadership of the great revolutionary General Constantine. In the dark room, he talked with one of his advisors over a map of Greece. Red dots made for military locations, and the peaks of mountains stood high on the map. One particular area had buggered Constantine for some time.
"We can't seem to make it past the Strait of Corinth onto the Pelepponesian peninsula. The Spartans have fared well under the Romans," he said. He took in a long drag from his cigarette. "We'll make a naval landing on the South side of the peninsula. Make the arrangements for the task force to leave Athens immediately. But if you take too many away, and the Romans come, I assure you you'll be the first to hang."
Orders:
-Defend Athens with a vengeance.
-Work on increasing army size from rebellious Greeks and soon-to-be-conquered Spartans.
-Dispatch a Naval task force from Athens to land on the South side of the Pelepponisian peninsula.

I am sorry, but I must drop out of this. It is going to fast and takes to long to catch up. Plus, I want to become more of a SNES player. And anywyas, Egypt has seemed to be left out of so many dealings, and its just plain boring to be egypt.

The Zulu government marched into Britian former colony as soon as the army moved. With the leaving army, tons of grain were shipped to Britian.

I must object to Toasty. GFreece is under my control and I believe that if he wants to become a new country he will have to start by scratch or take an open country. I havn't seen any other time where a player took a chunk of another player's land just because he wanted to play.

It's a revolt. You can try and squish me. But this has happened in past NESes, and pending EQandcivfanatic's battle results, I think it should be allowed.
Besides, I control a tiny amount of land right now. I think it's pretty fair...the odds really favor you. But in the world inconveniences do happen, and this represents that.

Warman, Toasty is within the rules by revolting. He is also correct that you should be able to squash him quickly. I would have preferred he had created a new civ in South American or even Austrailia. Also legions are obsolete.
Also for anyone concerned about the realism of it, Shanghai is Zulu Orthodox just as a joke.
Revolutionary, yes that means your caravels are now ocean crossing capable and that the next age is not far away.

Van der Korv was upset. His troops hadn´t fully understand his orders and was not attacking as planned. He quickly ordered them to attack again now. His forces would land west of Incan territory and attack west and south from there.

King Richard died in his sleep this morning, but he died knowing that he had made deals to secure the future of Britain.
Finally a Queen has come to the throne - Queen Elizabeth.

"Finally our time has come my people. We are to bring a new colony under our wing, known as Canada. We will sign an alliance with New England, and hopefully the Iroquois in a bid to bring peace to our new holding.
"As you well know, Britain has withdrawn from some of her old colonies. This is to gather the resources needed to take such a large area. And do it we shall! Canada has a large amount of natural resources for us to exploit, and with this new holding Britain shall be one of the most powerful nations on Earth once more!"
The crowd went wild, and Elizabeth left the stand to talk to her troops, which were about to embark transports to take them to Greenland, where the rest of the army waited.
"I know I have the body but of a weak and feeble woman; but I have the heart and stomach of a king, and of a king of England too! Now go my loyal soldiers, and claim Canada for Britain to make us great! You will be rewarded handsomely for this!"
The troops cheered also, and began to board the transports.
Elizabeth turned to her generals now, consulting the plan she had played a major role in drawing up.
The 1st Royal Army(which had a quarter of the army in it), led by the great general, the Duke of Wellington, was equipped with Britain's best equipment, including very warm clothes made from the best British wool there was. They were to cross the ice from Greenland into the North West Territory, and secure it for Britain.
The 2nd Royal Army, which contained half of the army, was to land in Quebec, taken across the Labrador Sea from Greenland by transports.
Once those objectives were secure, the 1st would move to take Alb, while the 2nd moved to take Toronto. From there, half the 2nd would be left to guard the border with the Iroquois and New England, and begin settling Canada, while the remainder of the 2nd took Yuk.
The 1st would take BCo at the same time, and finally they would join to take Alaska.
Once this had been completed, and the natives subdued, the army was to help British settlers, many of whom had been displaced by Britain's withdrawl from other colonies, settle this fertile and resource rich land.
During all of this, the 3rd Royal Army, containing the last quarter of Britain's army would provide security for the homeland, including Iceland and Greenland, and the Royal Navy would provide transport, supplies and stop any seaborne invasion of Britain or her empire.
