The 33 contenders in this game are some of the Leaders which have previously been in a Civ game but have yet to be seen in Civ6. I’ve not included leaders who are completely fictional (Civ2’s Shakala and Nazca), completely mythological (Civ2’s Amaterasu, Scheherazade, Hippolyta, Ishtar) don't make sense as a leader (Eleanor Roosevelt, Borte, Sacajawea, Gunnhild, Henry the Navigator, Joan d'Arc, Livia), too controversial in today's day and age (Abu Bakr, Indira Gandhi, Mao Zedong, Stalin, Lenin), and was previously a leader in Civ5 and its expansions.

The objective is to eliminate Leaders you are not interested in returning and upvote those you want to return.

Standard Forum Elimination Game Rules:
1) Every 24 hours, you add 1 point to one Leader you want to see and subtract 3 points from a Leader that you are less eager to see return.
2) Each Leader starts with 20 points. First Leader eliminated takes last place, and so forth. Last surviving contender takes the Gold!
3) Give a reason each time you vote for why you chose as you did.
4) Don't comment in the thread unless your post contains your daily votes.
5) Don't get upset because Leader X wasn't included or because Leader Y was. This is based purely on those Leaders which have already been featured in prior games.

Ranking:
1. Hammurabi
2. Mansa Musa
3. Hannibal Barca
4. Suryavarman II

Mansa Musa (20+1)=21 I have a feeling Mali will return to the Civ franchise, with Musa as the leader, it shouldn't be too hard to create a leader agenda.

I don't think this list will work. It is just way too massive and unwieldy to do one of these sorts of things, it could take weeks to eliminate one person, perhaps months to finish it assuming you always get 1 vote every 24 hours and it never scales up as time passes.

Hm, I think I will split it up then.

I mean if there are 10 voters a day, that's -20 points from the total pool (10*(1-3)=-20)meaning to wipe out the whole pool you'd need 820 votes which, if you get 10 consistent voters a day, could take up to two years. Please note I suck at math so my numbers could be off but the point remains.

Ashoka (20+1)=21 I want a second leader for India (I'm tired of Gandhi and his nukes meme), and this is good choice.
Brennus 20
Canute 20
Charlemagne 20
Churchill 20
Cunobelin (20-3)=17 There are better choices for a Celtic leader than this pre-Roman Briton king. Like Vercingetorix, why he hasn't been a leader yet (but virtual unknown Brennus has) escapes me.

Churchill 17 - Not a fan of Churchill - not that he wasn't a great leader during WW2 but he was also responsible for (or at least contributed to) a lot of problems before and during that get overlooked because he's over hyped. I also feel that if a civ is being led by Churchill and Victoria it really ought to be Britain rather than England.

Brennus 20
Canute 20

Sitting Bull 20
Smoke-Jaguar 17
Suryavarman II 20
Tokugawa Ieyasu (20+1)=21 He can represent a more Isolationist leader for Japan. His Shogunate was important to Japanese history.

Smoke-Jaguar 17 - 3 = 14 (Did nothing cool that we know of. Picked for God-knows-what-reason out of the many important Mayan kings and queens, from Yuknoom the Great to Lady K'abel (had higher authority than her husband due to her title as Kaloomte, or Supreme Warrior) to Lady Six Sky (read also this cool Discover magazine article about her). Almost nothing is known about Smoke Jaguar except his (admittedly cool) moniker.)

Osman (20-3)=17 He seems like a poor choice for an Ottoman leader due to the lack of info about his life. I wonder why Firaxis chose him for Civ3...
Ragnar Lodbrok 17
Sitting Bull 20
Smoke-Jaguar 14
Suryavarman II (20+1)=21 One of the two most notable choices for a Khmer leader, along with Jayavarman VII. A lot of Civ4 leaders came back in Civ6, why not him?

Franklin D. Roosevelt 20
Frederick the Great 21 (20+1) yes please. He could promote the cultural side of Germany. And a whole different time frame than Barbarossa as well.

Hammurabi 20+1=21 - Why not? He created one of first law codes in history. Today, he is regarded as greatest king of Babylon. He would be a great choice.
Hannibal Barca 20-3=17 - Hannibal as leader of Carthage would have on big flaw - he was a general, not leader.
