I saw that a while back. Very funny, I don't know if that is how it is with the majority of americans but it seems they got a bunch of different people and not just hobos. However they were tricky because they labeled the map in a tricky way. That does not give an excuse to why they are so insular and stupid.

If that is the general European attitude, then you're a sad excuse for a group of people. You insult MY people, Americans, for being ignorant, in a way that is clearly ignorant and elitist. (Note: I personally hold Europeans in a very high regard. After all, Western thought and civilization did BEGIN in Europe, and America was origninally an English colony)
Many Americans are intelligent people, who have a good deal of knowledge of the outside world. Both reporters obviously asked their questions in only one city (in one case Las Vegas, where many people go simply to drink and party, not exactly THE place for intelligensia). Also, for all you know, they could have edited out many "smart" answers in favor of the "dumb" ones.
Secondly, many Europeans I'm sure are similarly unaware of the world's status. So before you go insulting a people you obviously know very little about, please think about what you're saying.
And just in case you don't believe me...
