    Hey guys,

I've created a threat were you can post the texts (for Civilopedia) of allmost all things in RFCE. We are allmost there. This is the list of things which don't have a (English) text for Civilopedia. You also may translate the text into: French, German, Italian and Spanish.

    How to make a text:
    1. Find the info. (No strategy, all standard texts doesn't have them eiter.)
    2. Put it in a text file. (I prefer .txt)
    3. Post it in this threat and I'll do the rest.

    Mercenaries:

    Buildings:
    Protestand Church School

    Wonders:
National University (it's now the Oxford University)

    Resources:
    Atlantic Access

Is it ok if for now we'll just copy-paste the related stuff from wikipedia? Because if so it will shorten our work by a lot and it can always be changed later on.

OK I took the parts from Wikipedia about the Dome of the rock that regard it's history and it's importance to the Abrahamic religions, If you think anything should be removed or added go ahead and change it. I'm not sure I know how to add entries to the Civilopedia so I'll just upload a notepad file and anyone else can do it (perhaps after we've gathered enough notepad files).

A very good idea. I more or less completed the tech entries and tech quotes some time ago though some from Vanilla probably need altering to our timescale. I left the rest of the text awhile as it was such a big job. But having this aid will speed things up I'm sure.:goodjob:

EDIT Leave the Muslim stuff with me as I suggested UUs and UBs such as the Berber cav, Ghazis and Noria etc. and still have links to the research I did.

    Mean what?
EDIT: If what I think, I will make civilopedia quotes for all non-vanilla leaders.

<English>[tab]The Duchy of Burgundy, with origins in the Roman Empire,
was a political entity that at its peak spread from what is today
southwestern France, to central France, Belgium and the southern
Netherlands. A center of trade, art, thought, and military power,
it was at the center of conflict amongst the Kingdoms of France, Spain,
Austria, and the Holy Roman Empire; as an independent entity, at times the
Duchy rivaled the powers that coveted it.[NEWLINE][NEWLINE][TAB]Through
political intrigue, fortuitous marriages, financial power, and military
strength, the early dukes and kings of Burgundy controlled a wealthy area
of Gaul, including much of Provence, Switzerland, Franche-Comté, and the
current Région de Bourgogne. After battles both martial and legal, Burgundy
became nominally a fief of the France. As such a large and wealthy province,
Burgundian dukes often rivaled and surpassed their feudal lords: the
landed nobility had little interest in becoming a mere French province, and
Burgundy flourished as a mostly independent state. [NEWLINE][NEWLINE][TAB]
Plague in the mid 14th century left Burgundy in a crisis of sucession, but with the
outcome of a strong and capable Valois dynasty. Friendly but not subservient
to the kings of France, the Valois brought the Duchy's golden age. During this period
the Duchy's power extended into the low countries and presided over the
wealthy cities of Dijon, Bruges, Ypres, Luxembourg, Brussels, and Ghent,
among others.[NEWLINE][NEWLINE][TAB]The Valois, flush with wealth and power,
attempted to end the suzerainty of France once and for all, but were
defeated. When Duke Charles the Bold died in battle in 1477, the duchy was
effectively finished as anything more than a French province.</English>

A small nitpick. It is Abd ar Rahman III not the II. Otherwise very factual though you might have noted that under his rule Cordoba became the 2nd. largest and most cultured city in the world (after Constantinople).
