RHQ Artificially Intelligent AI Mod

RHQ Artificially Intelligent AI Mod RHQ AI Mod 2.11

Yup. It wouldn't shock me if there's an issue I can solve there. I did see the problem in base game, and in the mod where suddenly settlers get a bit stuck sometimes going back and forth between locations. I just haven't done the work yet to really sit down and figure it out. Perhaps today I will find the motivation to do that.
Thank you!

There were some adjustments to Air AI in 1.3.0. I wonder if you noticed any improvement in how AI handles airplanes. I just completed one modern advanced start game and didn't notice AI to use any planes even though Confucius built 2 aerodromes.

Let me know what AI looks like in the latest era. Is it trying harder to win? Does it use airplanes? I can't test the new update with the modem and without it right now. EU5 takes up too much of my time and that isn't going to change anytime soon.

I am going to spend some time going through it all. It may have to wait until next weekend, but I will at least read the patch diff, and get everything loaded on my machine.

Is there a way to verify the idea that AI is much dumber on non-standard game speed?
I have a feeling like that after playing Quick speed many times, and lately I switched to standard.
AI plays much more aggressively.

So, given the fact how bad Firaxis devs, can we somehow check in the game files if game speed affects AI performance?

It has been the case for many civ iterations that the AI plays significantly worse at a slower speed. I don't know about faster speed though, but I would assume it's the same thing. It would make sense that it is only optimized and tested for standard speed since that's what the majority of players play

I agree completely with this. I learned long ago that for the best games of Civ (since Civ 5 without Vox Populi) -- you have to play standard everything (map size, speed, etc.) -- the only thing I will tweak is trying to add 2 more civs to the game in order to make it more challenging on myself. The tuning of everything is focused on the standard and not anything above it.

This is a shame because I really loved the Civ 4 massive sized and duration games.

FWIW, I think longer games advantage the player disproportionately -- I'm not sure about shorter games as I don't like playing shorter games. I wish that the game was tuned for longer games.

I have not -- or on 1.3.0. Early on, this was a must have mod given how poor the AI was -- however, of late, the AI has been improving. Not anywhere close to the desired state of AI that I would like to see (and that the authors of this Mod are ultimately going for), but improving nonetheless.

I would hope that once the game gets to a more steady state (which is likely years away given the roadmap), the authors of this mod pick it back up and try to improve the AI.

Well, I also hope that the devs release the DLLs and other items that would really help in making a difference in the AI
