Rhye the 2nd English UHV is Broken

Rhye, I have been playing the English from the normal 600AD position on Monarch under BtS with the latest patches (BtS and Rhyes and Fall) but the 2nd English UHV doesnt trigger. Save below for reference.

Some of the Cities have been renamed (Caracas, Cochin, Jakarta, Merauke) but they were all founded by me. I havent lost any of them at any point.

The save below is on the turn before the UHV is due to trigger.

I know this was for Rhye, but I looked at the save out of curiosity, and the second condition isn't broken. If you check the RFC BtS atlas, you'll see that Indonesia is considered part of Australia, not Asia, so you've actually got five cities in Australia and one in Asia. I wouldn't have known that myself if I hadn't looked at the atlas a few weeks back.

Its not broken, i finished my English game yesterday. Like Norton said youve probably build in the wrong place

I usually build my Asian cities in the northeast corner of Asia noone has any cities there and after im done i usually give them away.

Ahh but I tested it in World builder by adding a city off the coast of Singapore on the Sugar and one above Korea. Unless that counts as Australia and Europe?

I usually build my Asian cities in the northeast corner of Asia noone has any cities there and after im done i usually give them away.

That's the problem with Asia--the good land is usually taken. But if you move fast enough, you can beat Khmer to Singapore and settle two cities in the Philippines. Those cities get pretty decent commerce and can support a few specialists. I generally avoid India, though--if India respawns, your cities there will flip.

If it's the sugar 2 SW of Singapore, that actually doesn't belong to any continent. In fact , I think someone posted about that recently.

BTW Rhye cant test the save anyway because hes updated to the latest unreleased patch so any help you guys can give is appreciated. I definately completed it in the past with cities on some of those islands I just cant remember which ones. Maybe it was further north.

You probably settled the Philippines.

I assume you know where to find the atlas since you posted in that thread a few times, but to check the UHV areas, just select England in the UHV window. Oddly enough, there's a 2-tile strip of land that's part of both Asia and Australia, but it's covered in jungle.

Yeah I posted about the sugar SW of Singapore not belonging to any continent. I found this out the hard way after an exhausting monarch game. Silly, isn't it? If Sumatra doesn't belong to any continent, then you might as well make it a barren island or something. Only jungles on it. Just so people who have worked hard at winning the UHV don't lose it just because some island, which should belong to Asia, doesn't belong to anything.

Oddly enough, there's a 2-tile strip of land that's part of both Asia and Australia, but it's covered in jungle.

On an even more interesting note, it is fully possible to get both Asia and Africa with the same three cities if your army is strong enough. The Africa/Asia UHV areas overlap over the southern part of the holy land, and the Aarbian spawn point, and usually there are three cities there already. But since the UHV requires you to build your own cities, you'd have to raze Jerusalem and Mecca, which might not go down well with the world depending on your game!

yeah, that's wrong and I'll fix it.
Unfortunately the fix wont come with the new patch, because that's tied to the BTS patch and is currently on hold until that one is released.
I'll restart working on RFC after Firaxis posts it.
