Spelling & grammar are distinct aspects of English.
I think you mean 'different'.
I also think we need a 'quizzical eyebrow raise' smiley.
No, I mean distinct - as in related (elements of language) but distinct from each other. Good grammar & good spelling are both distinct - as in distinguishable from poor grammar or spelling. If we carry this on it may be a langue time before either of us gets paroled - so we should probably give the thread back to Rick.
Someone looking for me? Sorry I'm late. That plains tile is from my Old West map. The base of it was an old Ares De Borg plains tile, which I added yellow grass to. (I'm aware of the grammatical problems inherent in that sentence, but I'm congenitally inclined to end sentences with prepositions, sort of.)
Trying something new for a Beta, i really like the quality of the texture, but i think i have the colour transitions from ocean to sea to coast are over the top, what do you guys think? Note: the Tundra texture is also new.
I agree with Etain that the previous colors blended better and are preferable.
The adjustment to the previous set that occurs to me is a transition from white caps on coast, less on sea tiles (more where touches coast less where touches ocean), and no white caps at all on ocean. That would help both for realism and also would help the open ocean look darker.
Ok, you guys are 100% right, i´ll render the colours in a smother direction, using brightness instead of coloring. I´ll tweak the Tundra aswell, ty for the valuable inputs!
@ Etain - Yes! I´m using your civilopedia files and will be available on the very late update of the Battleground v1.3.
@Blue Monkey - Will correct the white caps, and will focus on the transitions you refer, ty.
The ocean is too grey, looks like murky water, or the ocean when there is overcast. The texture, however, is wonderful.
The colour of the ocean remembers me on the Exxon Valdez oil Spill. The textures are great.
Greenish slate gray, yes, it's a bit oil-stain-like as well.
Lool, i´ll try not to make greenpeace angry, i´ll work on this for sure, it´s a question of inspiration Ty for the inputs!
Looks like waaay too much contrast on those mountains, IMHO. Try mixing some other mountain types in.
Separate names with a comma.
