Indeed. I see these beings who fear to speak freely as the ultimate cowards.

The Law Profession has something to be proud of?

Making money out of other peoples conflicts? Sounds like a fine beacon of decency to me!

Speaking of The Young Turnks and dangerous nutcases, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the Pentagon shooter yet:

I don't think that these so called militias are forming with the intent of overthrowing the government, or even attacking Federal institutions. The only reason a State Militia would be needed is if a state withdrew from the Union, which ain't going to happen.

The most logical reason for the tea parties to form a State militia, is to send a message to the federal government that the people can take care of themselves.

I also think it is wrong compare Libertarian Ideas with those of the Republican Party.

Big ideas for social engineering? Hate to tell you this, but nobody has ideas of social engineering greater than the creeps in power now... Ever read "Nudge" by Cass Sunstein?

All social conditioning is "re-education." You were "re-educated" when you grew up in the society you did and learned the values and world-view that you have. To pretend that this is somehow unnatural and wrong is ludicrous, because all societies do and have done it. It is what makes a society a society. You labeling it with stupid names like "evil propaganda" is just partisanism - its just a name for social constructionism that you disagree with.

So say you disagree with the values they preach all you want, but don't pretend that they're doing something wrong.

The resemblance is striking, to say the least. Perhaps a long lost twin brother? I'd say you know who the evil one was, but some on this forum would disagree with you.

Nope. I meant there are liberal progressives and conservative progressives. People taking control of our lives for the better. The problem being that they disagree on what constitutes "better".

Glenn Beck says all progressives, liberal and conservative, should (mostly) stop trying to control every aspect of our lives. When Beck was talking about this, he described the political "left" as total government control and the "right" as anarchy (he had ingeniously taken the Democrat/Republican policy bar and turned it SIDEWAYS so the Democrats were "up" and the Republicans were "down"). Glenn Beck says the United States should return to the center-right, i.e. both Democrats AND Republicans need to stop trying to run everything.

Ain't my fault if you can't beat a paper bag.

Then why not join the State Defence Force, a legitimate militia under the control of the state government? Granted, not all states have them, but that simply implies that the correct course of action is to lobby for the formation of one.
Self-appointed collectives have no right to speak for states as a whole, and any attempts to so could quite possibly be considered revolutionary activity.

"Conservative progressive" is an oxymoron. If you mean authoritarian, say authoritarian. Abusing terminology like that does no-one any good, whether or not it's your apparent national pastime.

Being locked in a classroom being forced to watch political correct newspeak turning your mind to mush and enforcing self-regulating of speech to fit into an idealogues dystopia. This is a vastly different to the natural progress of one being immersed in his immediate culture - indeed your social conditioning leads to a pluralist political culture whilst SPLC leads to a monocultural one.

The same thing that makes any other gang or mafia or terrorist group not legitimate.
