    Thanks all!
Thanks for translations or just for being willing to ruin your free time on RFRE. I am trying very hard to finish both the pedia and a related website this week and upload the mod ASAP. Isn't easy, it is busy time at work. Coltrane, make tea, open the window, breathe slowly and go for a hike in central park! I won't be liable for any casualty amongst the mod’s playtesters ;). What is/was going on in DC anyway?

    Final translations required (with tips):

    Improvements
    Holy Scriptures (Bible in Latin)
    Parthenon (ok as such?)
    Artisan Workshop
Animist Cult Site (Cult site, menhir...)

    Church (must exist!)
Antonine Constitution (important event during the reign of Caracala)

    Lighthouse (should exist as well!)
Forge (different from smithy, or just call it 'large Ferrarius')

Lime Fort (Lime coming frontier I think)
    Stone Keep (or Castrum something?)
    Diocese (ok as such?)
    Ishtar Gate (Gate = ?)
Sacred Forest (in German then, Mitscho, what was the name again?!)
    Numid's War Camp (War Camp/training camp = ?)
    Great Invasions (in German)
    Samnite Resistance (Samnites Furore?)
Soldier-emperors' Works (just in need of a textual translation)
Crisis of the Third Century (idem)
Edict of Milan (important event under the reign of Constantin)
Den of Spies (just in need of a textual translation)
    Balearic Slingers' Camp

    Units
    Engineers
    Chariots
    Imperial Guards

The only translation that I've found for church is "ecclesia." Parthenon, Pantheon, and Diocese are probably alright as they are.

If you want the German Word for sacred forest, take 'Hain'. (german for 'grove'). And holy would then be heilig, sacred geweiht. If you're interested, my latin book gives a poetically translation of 'hain': lucus. So maybe you could use that (although) it was probably more used for mediterannean 'forests'. But it's a latin word :)

Ok, I will compare them with mine and see how pitiful it is that I forgot all of my Latin classes. Otherwise, maybe just translate the civ section, which I haven't done. You can always check the Latin once the beta is released...

Have you ever considered looking at the unit list in Rome: Total War for inspiration for the units for each faction?

At this stage, I don't think I am going to change anything so drastic as the unit lines. Once the beta is out, ok, I am open to suggestions. I don't have R:TW but by curiosity, which units have I forgotten?

AFAIK no big ones. They just have some 'fantasy units' too to make the game more interesting/funny for a basic audience (e.g. that do not know much about Rome). So for the Romans they have afaik burning pigs (they used them in ONE battle) and for the celts or german some sort of Amazons. :)

So, nothing really interesting for YOUR mod. This one better be historical. :)

Arr... it is going on :) Pedia for units/improvements and half the tech finish. Still have the other half and the civ. Since I am out of office from tomorrow to Friday, it seems you folks will have a chance to put your hands on the beta the week after. I know it sounds obsessive, but I really wish to release a well refined game with all features complete and looking good. So I keep delaying, yep.

Burning pigs lol...hum... I knew that pigs were frightening elephants, but burning pigs? It seems Romans knew how to make good BBQ and have a good time, even on the battlefield ;)

well, to be exact, they didn't burn the pigs. The gave them some sort of cloth to wear and then they burnt that. :) This way, the pigs could run to the foe. Ah... burning RUNNING pigs... :)

@pinktilapia - When you get the beta version up, could you
please put the link to it in your first post? That will make it
    much more accessible.

Sure, the beta will be linked to a new thread, in the completed modpack section.
