Rise of the Olmec (Mexico/ Middle American)

I have taken the Mexican map and renamed the civilizations on it. Basic customized scenario but for middle America. I suggest you play as Toltec, Olmec , Aztec, Zapatec, Hopi, Mississipian, or Amaya, as there are two Myan startings (purposely made it so that the Myan have two civs becuse this is the time of Myan domination) and that the Piute area is poor land and they are not as much of a high civiliation.... (i dont know alot about making a barbarian civ so they are normal civs). Enjoy ~~~~8)

I have thought about putting an image of the map ... but i think that would give it away too much........ mabe a close up image heehe.

A few pointers:

1. Not so much Gold near the Aztecs
2. Change the start date (Scenario->Scenario Properties->4000 BC)
3. Unassign the Baja and Western Central Mexico starting locations

Whence all those volcanoes in the north and why that volcanic island north of Cuba? Whence all the tundra in the Pacific? Elephants in So Cal? Aymaras?

yes....

the map i used for this was not made by myself, it is still a very well done map IMHO, it was much much worse when i first started working with it. You guys are right baja california is a lousy place for that starting location... sorry about that. And the
Aymaras were an ancient tribe/ civilization situated between land controlled by the Incans and the Myans they controlled the trade routes between those areas and are not a current well known civillization to most of us in the USA. I put alot of gold arround the Aztec land becuse i felt they deserved a seat of power .... yeah i went overboard with it unfortunatly (cry) i do that alot in my senarios im still QUITE a rookie.

yeah now that i think of it putting the map up would DEFINATLY be giving it away! If i didnt see the map and was playing i would enjoy the game ALOT more being able to discover middle america.

Nice Map. You really did some research on the Tribes, although, what's that Volcanic island near Cuba?
