A new PBEM game with the following settings:

• BtS v3.17 with permanent golden age mod (will post details later)
• inland sea
• always war
• unrestricted leaders
• everyone starts with settler, warrior, archer, worker, scout
• huts on
• events off
• barbs off
• speed: Epic
• Map: 1 size larger than required (so we have some room)
• Map: Edited by me to ensure everyone has access to strategic resources

Anyone interested?

Edit: This game will need to be played under a mod to get the permanent GA going.

ok - we have 3, 5 would be better because ...

3 would mean 2 joining teams and crushing 1
4 would mean 2 v 2
5 leaves room for backstabbing and the like
6 is too many for a PBEM

So, we need 2 more - any other takers in this blood bath?

Righto! We are almost ready to go. I am missing the following:

• smoked salmon email address
• some final input on people's leaders and civs (see first post)
• people's GMTs for turn order

I will start a dummy game just to test that we have all d/l the mod and everything works this afternoon.

I am guessing I have to wait till I am emailed the dummy game in correct sequence to test if it works.

Why? What message did you get? Have you installed the GoldenAge mod under the 'my progs' BtS mod directory?

I won't be at my civ computer for an hour will PM you the message I get.
I basically unzipped the mod in the directory where BAT and my other mods reside.
Probably some minor thing going on.

I think it may have something todo with the OOS patch thing I messed with.
I may just have to reinstall everything

If you have the OOS patch, then you will need to revert to the v3.17 DLL when playing this PBEM. Did you keep a copy of the dll when you applied the unofficial patch?

I'm just going to reinstall and patch to BTS 3.17.
I'll put the .dll for OOS in a new mod folder so it doesn't pollute anything.

mc-red is having trouble opening the turn. We are still investigating. It sounds like Dreylin is ok (and the answer is NO). Any feedback from the other 2?

Everyone starts with: settler, worker, warrior, longbow and 2 x explorer
No stone, marble or uranium
Everyone has ivory in their BFC
Balanced resources are ON so you should have strategic resources close by
Based on Inland Sea - map looks interesting from a strategic point of view
