Sid Meier, The Civilized Tyrant: Mayan and Persian Slaughter.

Sid waited a very short time from the long Celtic war to reinitiate hostilities. Persian and Maya were way too close to the Civfanatics, and all that was need was to get the appropriate armies in place.

Yes, Sid has his sights on the Mayan empire first

Unfortunately, Sid forgot to check the diplo screen and failed to notice the DP between Maya and Persia. Ah well, it is no concern, as both empires are adequate targets.

Quickly Sid crushes the border cities of Maya to catch Pacal in a nasty pincer attack

Maya fell very quickly with a few fringe cities to clean up.

Persia was rather compact and with a superior airforce Cyrus provided little competition.

The final Mayan city was on a nice island to the north

Which provides a nice reserve station to let the armada hang out at while troops are dropped on that land mass.

    Looking at the newest cities

    And the empire

Yellow Charlemagne definitely needs to go next. Unfortunately that means war with Justinian so I better have that armada totally tanked and make a FAST first strike!

Is that global warming on the southern landmass? Forgive me if it's been mentioned. I spose that we can assume it's started when you started seeing nukes.

Yeah, global warming is happening. Just ignoring it except to rebuild key things like pig farms or copper mines.

Civfanatic army is rolling.. :) How many cities you have exact, as I've became confused for the numbers.

About the fast strike, you'll have to attack from all directions (like taking as much coastal cities as possible on the first strike). As they sure have nukes.

Btw, about the pc crashes, how many of those have happened?

    PS: Thanks for the city.

Maybe you should split armadas into a couple of parts to reduce nuke problems?

I would not mind having a city, though I understand that I have only joined fairly recently if you can't give me one.

Sid Meier, The Civilized Tyrant: Collapse of the Civfanatic Armada of Death and Recovery

Sid was proud of his creation, perhaps a bit too proud. The Celtic Queen fell after a major war and the Mayan/Persian alliance disappeared like dry grass in a swift wind. Surely the Byzantine leader with his lackies would collapse under the majestic Civfanatic fleet

As the fleet moves off-shore of Justinian's lands and the land forces mount on the border of the Holy Romans war is declared

The Armada is initially successful, landing strong troops on the homeland continent of Justinian and taking the first city

Being arrogant and sure of themselves, the armada moved towards the next city to claim it in another amphibious assault.

Meanwhile the brutal attack of the Civfanatics continue

Justinian's few key cities on the former Persian continent are fast targets for the Civfaantic empire and fall rather quickly although Justinian proved a stubborn opponent and launched counter attack after counter attack.

A smaller navy quickly knocked the Indians out of the war and ended Ashoka's reign

As the slower land based army moved against Charlemagne, Justinian was able to collect his thoughts and begin his own assault.

Sid's plan was cut off by a few fast tactical nukes

The massive Civfanatic armada was struck by 2 tactical nukes, decimating it and allowing Justinian to damage it further with his navy.

Meanwhile the plans against Charlemagne went brilliantly, the Holy Roman's days are numbered.

Sid proved stubborn and still attempted the amphibious assault on the second Byzantine city. However after high casualties he was forced to back off towards the earlier captured city. Justinian took advantage and completed the destruction of the Armada. The Civfanatics in the captured Core Byzantine City tried bravely to hold it, but that was in vane as another Nuke decimated the defenders and Justinian reclaimed his city.

Sid and his Fanatics army swore vengence and propaganda againat the Byzantine Tyrant was spread, for hos can the world support a madman that Nuked his own former city!

However, Sid is not one to wallow in self-pity at his mistakes. Decisions need to be made and the war continued.

Sid decides to play a defensive war against Justinian, preventing the Byzantine from expanding off his core lands while the Civfanatics dismantle his allies.

Charlemagne has broken away from Justinians and is left on a lonbe island that soon fails. While Justinian has control of the seas, the Civfanatics have an adequate fleet to work with.

The Civfanatics concentrate on the Mali next,t rying to claim his lands and knock Mansa Musa out of the war

This works better as a former Celtic city was on Mansa'a continent so we have an excellent place to air-drop alot of miltiary fast. The Mali are not equipped to repel the Civfanatic army and his cities drop fast

In addition the final HRE city is captured

Justinian issue scurses towards Sid as he see a second vassal's head lopped toward shis lands. However the Byzantine stubbornly refuses to accept a temporary truce.

Soon the Northern land army subdues Mansa'a Continent leaving him only the City of DeJenne on Justinian'c core continent

The only disappointment was the Turks lands were not easily assailable due to Justinians Nuclear threat. As no more land can be acquired without an amphibious invasion, Sid deamds it is time to talk peace

Sid went off to his captial of MadScientist to ponder his next move. The Civfanatic council was once again reconvened and decisions need to be made on how to proceed.

Justinian has been hurt but is still a dangerous threat. Zara grows stronger as his rival Shaka has difficulties in their war especially with the isolationist Koreans pounding Zulu lands.

    So Sid consider his options.

A sneak attack on the Zulu may gain valuable land near the Byzantine empire however the Dutch are further away and our forces would need to be split.

Another amphibious assault of Byzantium would also require a split force taking several coastal cities in the early fighting and holding them desperately against nukes and counter attacks. Also a concentrated assault on the Ottomans would eliminate Justinian's last useful vassal.

The Koreans could be easily overwhelmed as there is one city on the former Persian continent however Wang is rather tolerant of us.

Zara seams to top dog and although his empire is smaller than Justinian, his vassals are considerably stronger

Sid is serious now, he has been embarraressed by the last war although things could have been much, much worse. He has a debt to settle with Justinian, but that may have to wait.

Sid stops to reflect and listen to the suggestions from his Civfanatic council.

    I have a city!

That being said, this CivFanatic Council Member would like to see his city. Pop: 19! Wow!

Otherwise, I advise that SID is probably strong enough to do whatever he wants. He controls about 2/3 of the world and so has an army twice as big as the rest of the world combined.

You could just declare Byzantium such a vile place that no one shall rule it. Then convert it to nuclear wasteland.

Otherwise, go for Shaka to establish a non-Amphibious attack point on Justin's continent. The important thing is to destroy the Nuke sites before he can launch them.

Could you split up the army in a way that could hit the Zulu while also hurting Justinian?

I don't see why you couldn't amass enough troops to take out every last city in one turn, just for the hell of it (or even do this one civ at a time). You can be counter-attacked if you finish everyone off in one turn.
