Here three Roman ballistae. The first is a light/early ballista; it can be fit wit the Late Republica units from Sandris. The second is an heavy ballista that can fit with the Sandris' Marian Legionary and the third is a late heavy ballista that can fit with the Imperial Legionary.

    Cool!

I'd always considered making one of there but obviously never did.

Nice, siege artillery is always great! This will fill some holes (as well as make some holes in the poor guys facing these machines)!

The use of the cart in the run graphics really adds something special to this set.

Awesome! :goodjob: I always appreciate Imperial Roman units. The donkey cart is a great addition.

Be careful! Some of these guys seem to go underground in the death anim. That's quite logical though, to go underground when you're dead ;)

i think it would be easy for you to create some medieval ballistae, by the way could you have thought about a medieval (not renaissance) line of pikeman, featuring byzantines and steppe people?? or maybe some heavy steppe cavalry, just for a raid or two....anyway great units, congratulations, where could i send you some images of medieval siege engines??

There was a thread in the creation and cust that listed a page that had a huge horde of images and information about almost every conceivable medieval siege engine available.

I have converted a solo ballista that I will post soon. But it is just a conversion, doesn't quite compare to excellence imperator has created here!

This is great. If you want to do some medieval siege machines and need some sources, just ask. I have some 1st-hand-experience :)

Have i already said how i like your artillery units, Imperator ? No, i'm sure, then i do it now : I like your artillery units. I lot.

And the Marian ones are a nice touch, too : "Marians" romans are often overlooked.

Your Ballistas are very nice. Having more mechanized units for the Ancient/Medieval is very welcome to me. Thanks !
