ROME crash on caste

The problem is that whenever myself or the AI convert to the caste civic, the game crashes. Can anyone point me to a fix for this?

I have never had this problem although others have. Which version of RoM are you playing with and which mods have you installed? Or do you mean the RoM extension ROME? Of which I only use part.

I have encountered exactly the same problem before, under ROM 2.92
My workaround was to disable Caste, since nothing else seems working
