Rotor unit causes small pause and crashes game

When I try to upgrade my helicopters to rotors the game always crashes. The crash occurs when the next turn is supposed to start. Building rotors how ever does not cause a immediate crash, but attacking anything crashes the game. Also when I move, tell them to skip turn or hit "zzz" button, there is a small pause ingame like 5-7 sec. Also when the game crashes it takes awhile and things like cursor animations still play. Atleast it seems to me that there is some sort of memory overflow, or graphical issue. My game is running normally without any slowdowns, or other problems....well except the rotor thing.
 
I have tried different graphical settings and changes had no effect. Also selecting several rotor units(10 in my case) cause a crash too.
 
I'm fairly sure it has something to do with the rotor model that has nano armor skin(black skin). The other skin(more yellow/greenish) doesn't cause any problems.
 
The problem is definitely the model of the rotor unit with nano armor. Removed everything, but the model file, from rotor folder in art/units nothing happened, but soon as I removed the heavygun_fx.nif file the game ran without a hitch.....the model thou now is a red ball.....I'll see if I can replace it with the normal rotor unit model.
 
Ok so I pretty much replaced all the rotor nano armor unit files with the normal rotor unit files, and now the none working units is looking exactly like the WORKING unit, but still the problem persists. Now the only difference between these two units is that the working unit is "high" above ground as any helicopter unit should, but the nonworkin unit is "flying low" much lower than the working unit. Does this make any sense anybody?
 
Well I'm at my wits end.....If nobody else more experienced can't tell me how to fix this then damn.
 
Do you have the current version?
 
Yes I have the latest versio 16f, and appearantly rotor units nano armour is patch f addition. Maybe something went wrong with implementation.
 
I myself also have issues with rotor unit, it doesn't crash for me, but when I build one and select plasma shard for a promotion/slot thing the unit because extremely glitchy to use I can't see the buttons available (goto, heal, fortify, etc) and instead either nothing shows up or it ghosts the last unit(s) I had selected. I wish the creator fixed the rotor before abandoning.

The Plasma shared graphic is damaged, but you can make your own.
Take the Skin of the working Rotor grahic, and duy it in the way you like...
 
I'm also having problems with Plasma Shard upgraded Rotors. I assume that the files I need to replace are those found under:
\Assets\Art\Units\RotorPlasmaShard

However, where can I find the skin of the working Rotor graphic?
 
I have the same problems with the rotors. They seem to bug out my game, and I'm forced to not use them. I'm not very good with computers, and so I don't understand the solutions above.

Is there any way to fix this problem with the rotors, or will I just have to move on without 'em?


EDIT: The problem seems to have gone away.
 
When I choose the plasma shard or nanometal armor special ability for the rotor unit the unit gets bugged :( i edited the CIV4ArtDefines_Unit file so the units art won't change, this solves the problem for me. The unit still gets the combat bonuses and seems to be working fine.
