He billed expenses from his affair trips to the Hamptons to the tax payers http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1107/7073.html. I can't imagine he survives this as the combo of sex money and possible corruption has got to have the media licking their lips. That combined with his other foibles esp as a repub nominee I think must do him in. I only wish it would have happened about 6 months from now when he had the nomination.

Your thoughts. Am I blowing this out of proportion. Anyone think he will be the Republican nominee?

if i werent so lazy i'd burn effigies of the man.

i've never met a new yorker that liked him. and the ones who have moved down here had all moved to get away from him.

if it's hillary v. giuliani in 08 i'm just moving :[

Who actually is going to replace him as the front runner?

A person that said all abortion should be outlawed (I'm assuming that includes when a women is going to die)?

Sigh. Nice story there except:

It’s also impossible to know whether the purpose of all the Hamptons trips was to see Nathan.

New York's mayor receives round-the-clock police protection, and there's no suggestion that Giuliani used his detail improperly on these trips.

It is impossible to say which of the 11 Long Island trips indicated by credit card receipts were to visit Nathan and which were for other purposes.

Guess what....the public pays for security for a whole host of political figures. I am not entirely sure this is the smoking gun you wish it to be....and in any event, I am not sure the timing on its release will have the effect on the campaign that it might of, say merely a week or so out from a major primary. In other words, he has time to recover from this.

But hey, if this helps out Huckabee...whoo whoo!

This debate is pathetic.

I still think he can be the nominee.

My thoughts? He responded to these charges at the debate in such a way as to make President Nixon look like the man who coulsn't tell a lie.

Good news for McCain :D.

Or anyone that isn't the mayor.

I'll second that... Rudy did not come away from that exchange well at all.

He certainly didn't; Gov. Romney took a few good shots at him. But really, how many people watched this? Everybody in the country knows who Mayor Giuliani is, but how many could say three politically relevant things about him?

Really, the guy hasn't performed well anywhere else; he just doesn't have any sort of stage presence. It would be farcical to see him address the country from the Oval Office.

This debate is pathetic.

Indeed, I'm not sure if the answers were worse, or if it was the lack of solid questions that matter.

Who actually is going to replace him as the front runner? - George

After Huckabee wins the Hawkeye cauceye...Huckabee.

I'm sure he hase a great answer I think it will go something like this.

9/11.

$10,054 billed to the Office for People With Disabilities

Rudi robs disabled kids get off with lover. :mischief: ;)

I think it's time to give Giuliani some 'Giuliani time', someone pass a broom handle please.

Abner Louima, an unarmed, Haiti-born, legal New York City resident, was arrested in a scuffle. An officer claimed Louima had hit him. Louima was severely beaten on the way to the police station. There, he was sodomized with a broken broom handle. He spent months in the hospital. At the time of the event, one of the officers was
quoted as saying: "This is Giuliani-time".

Sorry i'm not so up with who said this (I think it might be huckabee but it might not be!) "WE will make all abortions illegal!"

Man, I wish he were.

Tonight they dreamed about having Roe v. Wade overturned, almost all of them. I remember Romney saying so at least, and there were others.

All? Even ron paul? (think he said it should be up to the states to decide or so thats what his website says) Its just about cartering to the extreme right, i wonder what the winner will say when they have to go against whoever wins the liberal ticket, is it going to be something like "haha, i was just kidding i would never do that?"

If true, you can certainly blast Giuliani for doing a Kerik imitation, but I can't fault him for what some jerk cops in the 70th Precinct said while they were carrying out that disgusting act against Louima.

I doubt he's done for, but I wouldn't shed any tears if he were.

Mobboss, are you a Huckabee man now?

Ron Paul wants Roe v. Wade overturned so it can go back to the states. In keeping with his state's rights position.

I'm not a fan of Ron Paul, but at least get it right.

I think Huckabee is the man of the hour. He is gaining quite a bit of momentum barely a month out of our first primaries, in which it looks like he may do very, very well. He could be the conservative we are looking for without the mormon factor looming over his head.

That being said, yes, I will probably vote in my primary for Huckabee when the time comes; but I would be equally comfortable with several of the republicans that have a chance at getting the nod. To me, all of them are preferable to anything the dems could toss up.
