A new SG in the Ruff series of silly games. For this variant, we sell Anger Management courses and, naturally, we want to make money doing this. To those ends, we must have angry citizens and civ leaders to send to our Anger Management courses. So ... Civ: Random Difficulty: Monarch Map: Inland Sea Victory Conditions: All enabled Variant Rules: 1) Each city of size 4 or more must have at least 1 angry citizen (penalty: we bench 1 citizen) 2) Every known civilization must either be Cautious, Annoyed, or Furious with us (Penalty: none - just make demands until they are). Roster (5): Ruff Ozbenno ULTIMATEGP Xtream_Rockstar lost_civantares Alternates: adiii Open Comments welcome.
Great idea, Ruff. Perhaps designate one happiness resource as your "course"? Then, when others declare war, you can sell that resource after peace? Wish I could play. Can't though.
Delibarately p*ssing people off, I can do that. If there's a spot open I'm in!!! If not, good luck! If Tokugawa (Mr Friendly) is an opponents you should have to make him pleased or friendly!!
You might have a problem - if someone likes you, then you won't demand, you'll just request something, and won't get a penalty to your diplo relations. Not a sign-up, btw.
The "your head will look good on a pole" option will go a long way towards resolving that minor inconvenience.
Prevention is better than the cure. It'll be easier to never let them like you, ie always refuse their demands, make sure we don't share a religion (even better found our own), don't trade too much etc. Spiritual might be a good leader trait for switching religions continually.
We have 4 players - is that enough to start? Do we want to let the machine select our leader or do we want to do that?
Let the RNG Gods decide. It won't affect how we annoy the AI. If we were going to pick ourselves I'd say Mansu, 'cause he's usually such a nice fellow, be funny to see everyone p*ssed at him! 2-2 the sweetest score there is!!!
Would it be okay for someone jumping up to Monarch to join? I would really like to learn a higher difficulty level. I've really enjoyed lurking many a SG, and I feel that now, when I have the time, is the place for me to actually join one. So if you don't mind a more 'lower class' player for you to use the Anger Management skills learned in this SG, would it be okay for me to join? The only time I should be gone this summer is maybe a week in Auguest.
No problem with you joining. However, note that we are not trying to remove angry people from our cities, rather we have to always play with angry citizens in our cities (sizes 4+) - actually making it harder for ourselves. Ok, I am going to kick this game off this afternoon. First round is 20 turns each with the normal 24 hrs for 'got it' and 48 to play and report.
Yep, I know, as you must have patience with one in each city, so you must with my lack of skills. I'm gmt -5 (eastern US) FYI.
Are there any spots free? I want to join this. I am new to SGs but i can handle prince easily on my single player games, though i sometimes lose due to a big mistake
Finally got this game started - sorry all. Almost everything is random except we are playing Monarch on an Inland Sea map. We turned out to be ... I settled almost in place (after making sure that we have no happiness resources near us) and sent our scout East - finding Vicky who is cautious with us. The tech path was ... Bronze working followed by Agg. I built 1 warrior who popped a hut for some experience (currently East of Berlin but should be directed back to the city). The other huts gave us maps (yuk) and gold (ok). Here is the end position with some of the events that occured during my turn set. Lastly, I have been thinking about the Anger Management rules and decided that we can only offer the courses to our 'clients' once we have learnt our letters. After Alphabet ... All cities with more than 3 people (ie sizes 4 or more) must have at least 1 person angry - penalty: 1 citizen gets benched All known alive civs must be either furious or angry with us - penalty: we declare war on them
