Rule with Faith

If you guys are having problems, be sure to use Sukritact's Tech Tree mod. That cleared up the issue where the tech tree could not be opened. I don't know if that's the problem you're experiencing.

For now, you need to use Sukritact's Improved Tech Tree mod. I won't be rushing into updates - I was in the middle of that earthquake so give me a break :p

Pokemon reference! Also, sad to hear. Take as much time as you need.

OMG!

That just makes me even happier that you're replying. Take all the time you need to get things sorted out - hope it works out for all of you!

Looking forward to see how this mod develops, it's been great (for me) right now.

But take care of yourself first, we'll still be here when you are able to get back to it.

Unfortunately the Fall patch broke Sukritact's Improved Tech Tree mod so v5 is no longer playable

For those of you longing to play with the mod I have however found a hotfix. Delete ResearchChooser.xml and overwrite TechAndCivicSupport.lua with the version from v4 and it (seems to) work. I'm attacing an updated version of the mod with the post (hope you don't mind JFD!! Not trying to take credits for your work or anything).

I haven't played many turns yet, but it seems there's no bugs - of course there may be some features from v5 that got lost along the way using this version.

I am having an issue with enabling policies after code of laws is researched. Is this due to Improved tech tree mod broken as well? This mod looks so cool I am a bit depressed it isn't working.

Use the version I posted above and don't use the Improved Tech tree mod for now - at least that's my conclusion.

I have an upgrade prepared, just a bit stumped because Absolute Monarchy's main effect doesn't work properly. Sukritact update the Improved Tech Tree mod recently to support the latest patch, so try that.

Thanks for the intiative fix Skodkim.

JFD updated Rule with Faith with a new update entry:

Update to v6

  • Buffed Pacifism faith mod to 15%.
  • Updated for latest Civ VI patch.
  • Altered and added various titles thanks to Janboruta and Sukritact.
  • Fixed an issue causing Shamanism to not work.
  • Empire policy now also grants a free Builder whenever you found a city on another continent.
  • Added 1 Religious slot for Feudal Monarchy and removed 1 Military slot.
  • Switched Noble Republic's and Constitutional Monarchy's legacy bonuses around.
  • Fixed incompatibility with Sukritact's...

Does anyone have an idea if this will run along side civ 6 improvement patch, and the overhaul he did to policies?

It looks like there are a few minor problems, although they both kind of work... Is there a list of what existing policies you actually change?

Holy horsehocky, state Atheism is so overpowered. Trading 100 faith per turn for a bonus of 30 production per city late game? worth

I'm not getting any tech or civic completion popups what so ever :/
I never had this issue until the latest civ patch, so definetly still something broken in regards to the mods vs the civ patch.

Using these mods;
AI Cleanup
Dale Religious Units Border Control
Detailed Worlds
JFD's Rule With Faith (of course, v6)
Show Diplomatic Deals
Slower Tech
Tomatekhs Historical Religions
Tundra Farms
Yet (not) Another Maps Pack 0.12

Used to use Sukritact's Improved Tech Tree, but tried removing it as this mod (RWF) claims it is already included anyway.
I did get the same issue with the latest Improved Tech Tree mod active as well.

Recently added these, but i had the bug in my prior game before adding these mods below.
MoarUnits 0.41
ModernBuildings 1.4
Specialized Industry 2.0
Strategic Industry 4.01

The picture of "Constitutional Monarchy" ist not correct. England is not such because they have no constitution but a "sum of laws and principles" as Wikipedia says. In no way England is an example of a constitutional monarchy. In fact England is more in the state of a medieval kingdom. The Kingdom of Prussia was a classical constitutional monarchy or the later German Empire.

I like that the governments are more diverse (absolute monarchy, constitutional monarchy and so on). But I would still see to have Socialism, Communism and Facism because they belong to human history - whether we like it or not. Also it lacks of a late form of a constitutional republic like the US. The USA is no democracy. It is a federal and constitutional republic by constitution. If you mean this by "liberal democracy" I would change it to "liberal republic" at least.

I'm agree, United kingdom is a parliamentary monarchy but do not have a constitution and i'm agree too for the US but i'm a little bit more cynical, there has never been a true democracy, liberal or not, but different types of republic, yes.

@havox79 Because pure democracies do not work. The last true democracies were the of the ancient Greeks and it has a reason why they were city-states. But democracy was removed by monarchies as civilization developped. You can read it by Platon or de Toncqueville e.g.. A wise statesman avoids democracy, as we have many quotes of Benjamin Franklin or Otto von Bismarck e.g.. That we see it as some kind of dogma for our time results out of stupidity and not wisdom. The creators of the US constitution were wise men and therefore they avoided democracy and went the way of a classical republic like the of Rome. Therefore their parliament is called "Capitol" and they named a river "Tiber". Most people do know the difference, unfortunatly. Res publica means rule by public as the Enligtment tought and means also commonwealth. Democracy means rule of the people and in principle rule of the majority of the people or rule by mob. Therefore Socialism prefers democracies and that is why Europe is socialist and the US not (yet). Demos are the people. Deme is the village. You see an intented connection here between people and village. Krat means power. So democracy means rule of the people of a (small) city. There is no real principle in it execept for Isonimia and so on. Only the principle of the republic was further developped by the Enlightment and the US is the result. Germany for example has since the medieval times city-republic, means the former Hansa-Cities. Today are only a few left but once they were republics on their own. The US of today is more an oligarchy as Platon tought all democracies or democratic methodes will turn into before becoming tyranny.

A little bit of topic, excuse me. But I wanted to be complete.
