HOLY CRAP are these epic!

VERY much looking forward to the 4 era Washington.

If you are taking requests, and as long as they dont get in the way of that 4 ear Washington...How about a little Robert E Lee

Thank you,
I'll think about it, but what's wrong with Davis since he was the president of the CSA?

No problem with JD, I just thought it would be cool to have ole RELee he is just more iconic here in the south. Not suggesting a replacement just an addition.

 Wow! Looks very impressive. Can't wait to see these uploaded!

Pilgrim is good. For variety you could also go for a "frontier" look. 1 2 3 4

Lots of politicians played up their "edge of civilization" look to gain support - in the same way that politicians today try to make themselves look more folksy. Franklin used the "country bumpkin" image to great advantage while an ambassador. Negotiators underestimated him & the ladies found him attractively exotic.

There have been generals as US president - retired in all cases iirc. So the uniform is a little jarring. For George Washington a juicy alternative would be to put him in a modern suit plus something suggestive of his masonic connections. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
The Skull & Bones "Tomb" in the background would complete the look. 1 2 3 4
In that theoretical reality most diplomatic negotiations would be between lodge brothers - so the regalia wouldn't look out of place imho.

I think the frontier look looks too early modern to pass for Medieval. Its the problem with making a multi-era US head, their civilization starts pretty late. I think the pilgrim or 16th-17th century English attire just barely passes.

I don't think the Skull and Bones club is connected with the Freemasons, other than many members are probably also Freemasons or might have family members in it. I could try to make a modern Freemason uniform like this or this. But I'm not sure yet. I don't know of any US president who wore their military uniforms in office, but I just get bored of making the last era a suit and tie.
On that note, I am also thinking of including two versions of the Industrial era, the military look and the presidential look. Since I think all I need to do is change the uniform black.

Why not then: Celtic/Arthurian - Pilgrim - Industrial - Modern

After all, both Washington & the pilgrims were originally Brits. Castro would be more likely to start as a Roman, culturally (ironically). Lincoln was from old Irish or scottish stock, don't you think, with that angular lanky build? Lincoln's folk would be more likely to be trappers/frontiersmen than Pilgrims; they were pre-industrial contemporaries in the new world...

I like the Roman Senator-Pilgrim-Self-Modern format, but I do see Balthasars point.

I'd rather see Washington as a statesman than general though for his modern look.

Love JD as colonel sanders, kind like Xerces is in the industrial era...but R E Lee would look better;)

This ones gonna be too cool for school which ever way you decide to go.

But England was a part of the Roman Empire ;)
For the New World civs I was trying to go for the feel of the country, instead of each leader's personal ethnic background. The US seems to draw a lot from the Grecco-Roman world. Cuba and some of the Latin American countries are more Mestizo and less purely Western than the US or Canada. But Really the only reason I choose to make Castro multi-era, is I thought people could use him for Cortez with my Montezuma.

We may have Greco-Roman laws and government buildings in a Neo-Classical style. OTOH, August Schoenborn was one of the designers of the Capitol. We're told in history class that German missed becoming the official language by one vote. As recently as my great-grandparent's generation there were people who spoke German more fluently than English - in families who had emigrated in the 18th century. It may not be commonly known but many of the "Pilgrims" came to America from Amersterdam via England. Place names in most of the major east-coast cities - Philadelphia & NYC come to mind - are reminders of once thriving "Germantown" communities. A substantial number of US citizens Anglicized their names during the early to mid 20th c. when Germany was an enemy.

Gotta side with Shiro on this one, though Blue makes the historical argument.

Go to DC and what do you see? Greco-Roman architecture. The political structure. The fact that we are the modern Roman empire.

And when I play civ and build my palace as America, I aint buildin' no Aztec temple, I build a Greco-Roman Palace!...not that that matters for this arguement:king:

Glad that you agree with me.

There's no argument. There is no solitary "must". There's the presentation of alternatives so that the artist has the greatest possible range of creative choices. Shirou is very good at selecting the best aesthetic alternative when he has sufficient options from which to choose. I'm certain whatever direction he goes the result will be both pleasing & useful.

I was wondering what you would do with the modern Washington's hair. The look is close to military officers who have been in political appointments - such as Alexander Haig & Oliver North. Off the collar but not as "high & tight" as if ready for combat. :goodjob:
