running slow on my g5

I just got civ 4 and installed it, only to find out that it runs very slow, even on the lowest settings. my build is : powermac g5, 2.1 ghz powerpc, 1.5 gigs of ram, ati radeon x600 xt with 128mb of vram. this meets the specifications, but it still runs slow. i haven't gotten any error messages. my theory is that my g5 isn't letting civ use the graphics card, but its only a theory. is there anything that i can do?

I don't know whether it will improve it, but have you installed the latest patch? It's here

Have you tried it on the highest settings? On my Powermac Quad G5 it runs faster with higher settings than it does with lower ones for some reason.
